Where is Dead Rising 2? :x

Dead Rising 2 has been announced but it's really early in development. Forgot where I read but I'm pretty sure Dead Rising 2 is in the works.Sauceomsauce

I don't think it's in development at all. I think they announed their intention to continue as a series upon realizing they had a major hit, which means that it's more than likely in a planning stage. If the planning goes well, that's when official announcements come out.

hopefully it won't be all saving savivors like the first game especially as they were so stupid.illbitcrusher

I thought Dead Rising was WAY overrated. The story was kind of weak and killing zombies got really boring after you have killed about 1500 of them. I didn't even finish the game, because it got so boring. And the saving... my GOODness, the saving. They couldn't have made it any more annoying.

Now, if they made the 2nd one Co-op, it might have a little more potential, but even still, I don't see the game as being anything all that impressive if it is anything like the first one.

It hasn't been announced, but I'm sure it will in the future. Maybe we'll see something by mid 2008? And hopefully the game releases by Nov 2009imperial_agent

I would buy Dead Rising 2.

Dead Rising was a grower game, not everyone likes it at first.

I personally though it was just a good game, not more, no less.

Critics gave it an average of 8.5/10, so they agree.

totally disagree about everything except the saving thing. im a zombie fanatic, so this game was right up my alley

though yea, wtf was up with that save system. i understand what they were trying to do, but they just failed miserably. they wanted to make the player feel stressed into making important decisions, but instead it just made the game a tad frustrating at parts

i DO love capcom, but they do see to have an inclination to use weird save systems. just look at the whole "ink ribbon" thing from the past (none re4) resident evil games

The demo pretty much held me over... All I wanted to do in the first place was Kill zombies... no more no less that's all... The whole... Finding survivors and then... actually TAKING THEM BACK through the mall put me off. I would have prefered it if it were an Open World Resident Evil... and that's what I was hoping for.

If they make a Second... I'll have to give it the pass. Give me Resident Evil 5 over this.

I'll second that I'd much rather Capcom spend more time on RE5 making it spectacular than hashing out a DR2, besides a DR2 would probably just be based on either Day Of The Dead or Land Of The Dead guranteed.
