I think there isn't as much hype because Soulcalibur 3 was a let down. I remember how there was massive hype for 2 because the original was so great, but the series lost its attention after 2. I'm also looking forward to 4 and I think it will turn it to be a great game.
Whoever said 3 was a letdown hit it right on the head. I think 4 has promise but there are simply too many good games out there, for both ps3 and xbox, for me to put Soulcaliber at the top of my list.
theres a lot of hype... that's just not being expressed on the 360 board.
believe it or not, but tons of people already have their hands on the game (which you should blame the stores for, or blame Namco for it ship so early). there's some leaked info and videos out and Youtube went on a deletion spree.
HAHA You spelled Soul Caliber twice, I will get this when the price drops. It looks good but there are other games that I want first. The last Soul Calibur I played was I think 2, with Link on the Gamecube.

I disagree. New games like Mortal Combat VS. DC universe, Tekken 6, and Street Fighter IV are getting loads of hype. Even Facebreaker, which is an abomination of gaming in my opinion, is getting popularity. And to this day people still play the old Tekken and Mortal Combat games. Oh I forgot to mention how popular Dead or Alive still is.

yet there are tons that enjoy games like VF5, DOA4, as well as old fighting games being brought back through download services like XBL with UMK3 and SF2, and are highly anticipating MK vs DC, Tekken 6, SF IV, and SC IV. No offense, but it's true.
