Definitely not getting Madden but thinking of picking up 2k8. Those games were always really good and played better than madden. Also, have you guys seen the graphics? That game looks like it will blow madden away in that department.
I've got no problems with other EA titles, but I'm totally boycotting their sports games.
They only offer incremental upgrades at best from iteration to iteration & are a total scam at full price every year. Just my opinion, but I won't buy EA sports titles anymore until I see some true innovation, (the only exception being the Fight Night series but even that is bordering on being a ripoff at this point).
I am buying both... they will both be completly differant games, I am looking forward to madden for 1 year of up to date football... and 2K's ALL Pro I will be playing for several years as the roster needs no change.
im getting both. i already got madden pre-ordered because of some discount cant remember but if i have the money ill get 2k8 when it comes out im debating between all pro and ncaa though
u know alot of my friends were big madden players but they said 2 me about a year ago that if 2k made a game they would buy it over madden cause madden has sucked since they got exlusive license well finally the time has come im personally countin down the days
2K8, Madden licks mah ballz and has since Madden '99...and 2k5 was a damn good football game and I'd rather play that on my PS2 then Madden 07 on my 360
I'll probably will get both, but i think 2k8 will be a better game. I would get Madden just because it has the real up to date NFL players in the game. For some reason I know playing 2k8 without the real NFL active players will get to me. IMO thats what a lot of people willstill buyMadden for over All Pro Football.
i will probably get both maybe seing what my money sitaution is but i still always look forward to madden every year becuase they allways seem to bring something extra but iv liked 2k from the first football game and i dont know which will have better graphics becuase it seems now that it still looks like a video game to me. When madden is starting to look real other then the size of the players.
Honestly, I'm on the fence right now. I could end up getting both. I was in 2K8's corner until I heard there really isn't a franchise mode. That's the only mode I play, so that's a big deal to me. Also, with 2K8 entering the market again, it looks like Madden is stepping their game up a bit. Some of the stuff I've seen seems promising. I'll wait for reviews, word of mouth, and gameplay vids on this one.
Madden because every year it is great. Yall are right they dont do much innnovation, they dont need to. The game is rock solid already, why would you change a winning formula already? However what I dont get is why that first person sports thing never caught on. I thought that was amazing when 2K5 did iit. I was looking foreward to seeing it in other games like basketball. But madden all the way

I generate a large enough income to not mind throwing down 50-60 bucks a year for a game that gets incrementally better and has an updated roster ;) Hell, I'd pay just for the updated roster =P Am I a sucker? Yeah... a sucker for football and football accessories :)
