After playing the COD4 Beta I'd have to say the gameplay isn't as much fun as Halo 2 is. If Halo 3 delivers as expected then there won't even be a contest in my eyes.
Don't get me wrong COD4 is solid and probably worth the $$ (unless some game breaking bugs pop up in the final version), I just didn't have as much fun playing it. A lot of little things added up to form my opinion about this. The guns for example. The guns in COD4 just lack that something special that Halo has. I also think it is more fun to know who your enemy is at first glance (easy to do when your team has a color).
Halo may not be as realistic but when playing a game there is a line between realism and fun, and once a game crosses this line it because more of a chore than a game. COD4 hasn't crossed it completely, but they are dangerously close.
i agree , halo 3 will probably sell more especially with the advertisement bombardment . but as far as witch game to get it really depends on what your into . sci-fi or realistic military shooters . i myself have been playing the COD4 beta and IT FREAKIN ROCKS !!!! the graphics are outstanding ,i cant wait to trythe single player campains and use night vision goggles. you can also call in air strikes lol.
IMO, I think Halo 3 will out sell CoD 4 however the better game IMO is the latter. Also you need to remember that CoD4 is a out a month later and well the mist of Halo might have died down and a few people will jump to MP on CoD. I don't care either way as I will only be playing CoD4.
personally i think that halo 3 will be better in gameplay... just based on the fact that ive already played cod 2 n 3 and if its anything like them then it'll be way too linear for me to enjoy plus i found the multiplayer boring...

You are gonna love CoD4. I didn't care for 2 or 3.4 is highly a addictive.
simply put halo will be better besides the fact that halo beta was better than cod4 all the past halo games have been better than any of the past cod games hands down bungie is just better at halo than infinity ward is at cod.
I will definitely be playing cod4 its so much better and realistic than gaylo I imagine the single player will be better in halo though but I mean go ahead and play with urself if ur into that kind of thing but the kill cam and all the special things they have in cod are awesome
Im going with Halo 3 seeing that Call Of Duty has never been too memorable campaign wise and Halo has been. Both games are great multiplayer wise but Halo is more solid single player wise which for me makes it the better game.
i think halo is mostly all hype. i love the game but a person that doesnt even know halo will go out and buy it even if he doesnt know what the games is about and neverplayed it before because of the hype. i must say bungie and microsoft did an incredible job at advertising. just mindblowing lol
