Well I've got about $900 saved up for a 360, some extra controllers, games, the necessary online equipement (wireless adapter, headset), and covers. Since there are a lot of options to choose from, which 360 is the most practical to buy. I have a 50 in. Samsung 1080p TV. So which 360 should I go for: Elite, Halo edition, Core, Pro, or Vista.

Also what are the main differences between all of them. Thanks.

The Elite looks real good, and they are supposed to be more reliable.

Wait for the 360's with new 65mm falcon chips. They are out but you can't really guarantee that you are gonna get one. I suggest waiting atleast a month if you want that. Plus they come with two free game; Forza 2 and MUA. If you can't wait, get the pro. It comes with everything that the elite has (except for 100 gb more storage)and is cheaper.

core is prob being fazed out, and you don't want that anyways since it doesn't have a hard drive, hdmi output wireless controller.

new premiums coming out have the hdmi and are equiped with 20g drive and wireless controller.

elite is same as hdmi premiums except their black, 120g hard drive

Halo 3 same as new hdmi premiums but also come with a battery, recharge kit and halo theme. Vista??

make sure you get a system with a new manufacture date since you'll want the new chipset. Halo 3's with Aug manuf. date and lot 734+have been confirmed to already have them. My 0729 did not. I would either get the halo edition or NEW elite if you prefer a larger hard drive. You could always add the 120g drive to halo edition if you need more space but the drive costs $180
