Modern Warfare had two good campaigns, but i prefer the historical reference in World at War

Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare has my favorite campaign to date. Gaz, Captain Price, Soap. It doesn't get much better then that.
In my opinion, the two greatest missions ever to come out of CoD are Vendetta from W@W and No Russian from MW2. I like World at War's campaign overall, though I think they should have made the British Campaign available on all systems, and not just PS2.

No Russian didn't feel like it was really necessary. Actually, I didn't think anything was that exciting after the 1st act, and the final mission was just downright disappointing. The best level in the game was the second one (taking down the Russian base in the snow storm).
I perfer both Modern Warfares & World at War for the Win I think the worst one though had to be at least Call of Duty 3 (Im sure lots of you would agree with me on this)

It wasn't necessary, but it was cool. Probably would have been way better if it wasn't spoiled by media.MW2 all the way! CoD2 had a very fun campaign as well, but MW2 was just epic! I'm not a big single player gamer, but it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time! ::Spoiler:: ::Spoiler:: And a knife to the eye to end it?!?! EPIC!
Had the game been better balanced, I would say World at War. However, CoD2 still takes it for me. First time playing the D-Day mission was amazing. My only complaint comes from the last level, which didn't feel like one at all. CoD3 also had some pretty good moments in it.
this
and that nuke that went off was completley unexpected...it was kinda predictable when it went off in mw2
^sopiler is for people who havent played mw2 or mw1^^^Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare has my favorite campaign to date. All the CODs have had pretty darn good campaigns but I think the two most memorable have to be COD 2 and COD 4. Nothing was cooler than seeing the beach storming scene of 2 in full next gen glory, or the part of 4 where the nuke goes off and the amazing cliffhanger ending.
COD4 has the best call of duty story mode so far. COD2 was ok, COD1 was bad, COD3 was ok, W@W was good and MW2 is acceptable...sorta.
I really liked Modern Warfare 2, but I think CoD 4 is probably still my favorite.

Exactly the same for me!
Have to agree with World at War. A lot of it felt like a rehash of the previous games, but the amount of grit made it the best of the WW2 COD games. A lot of WW2 games seem to sanitize the action, so this was a nice change of pace. Plus, there aren't a lot of good shooters that spend time in the Pacific theater. Hearing constant yelling about revenge during the Russian missions did get old, though.
I didn't think much of Treyarch after COD3, but after finally getting around to playing W@W, I'm pretty excited to see Black Ops.
