Get the play and charge now, then later on get the quick charge kit. You'll have batteries so you can swap them around.

Play and charge kit - you never have to stop playing, and dont have to remember to put battery packs on charge before you play.

I personally am in love with my Quick Charge kit. It's less messy and I dislike being tethered since it pretty much negates the entire reason for having wireless controllers. I have three batteries and two controllers so one battery can always be recharged. It's not a huge hassle if you own more than one battery... just swap and go.

If you're a one-battery man the Play and Charge would work. It's all up to how much you're willing to spend versus home factors like foot traffic and space. Wires for any reason aren't fun when you have people or pets tripping over them.

Quick Charge. It comes with a battery and once it's charged up you can just swap the dead one out of your controller with the charged one in the quick charger and game on. Plus, it doesn't turn your wireless controller into a wired one. Quick Charge made the Play and Charge totally obsolete.

play and charge cos if you run out with the quick charge and dont have 2 rechargables for any reason you can keep playing. also the wire can be used without the pack.

I had the play n charge kit at first. it didnt seem to fully charge my controller. After a while i noticed I always had my contriller plugged into it. I got frustrated thinking whats the use of having a wireless controller if Im always having to charge it. I bought the quick charge station. Comes with extra batter. Only once since Ive got it (11 months) have I had to resort to putting in batteries because one of my packs were not charged.
