I am currently thinking to go and play some online games on live, but have no clue on what FPS game(s) to play. I am certain to play Forza4, but I'd love to play a FPS as well. I did some CoD:Black Ops on the PC last year, but I love to play "deathmatch" style games, but it was hard to find a fun match. So my question is: Does anyone know a fun FPS game where (team) Deathmatches are actively played?

You should give Gears of War 3 a try. It's a great 3rd person shooter with a special beginner mode for people that have never played it online. It's a special mode they put in just for people like you. Take advantage of it.

If you're a rookie, Halo isn't the game for you. You gotta be spot on in that game. Call of Duty is a lot of fun, although it gets a lot of poop on the forums simply because it's a popular game.

My thoughts exactly. Halo is super difficult and pretty lame unless you like jumping around shooting and meleeing like a mad man. Way to silly and unrealistic for me.

I disagree COD is not user friendly because everyone camps in that game and Cod is not very fun

If you like jumping around like a space monkey while you shoot. LAME LAME LAME. And totally UN-realistic.

Yea, it's kinda tough if you like running around jumping and shooting like a space monkey.

who cares about realism, it's a sci-fi video-game.

it's more about strafing than it is jumping, btw.

I do. And there's LOTS of jumping, BTW. I see fools trying it in other games ALL THE TIME. Thank God it only works in HALO.

It's definitely far easier to be good at COD than Halo. So if you are new to shooters, I'd recommend Modern Warfare 3. Of all the shooters out now Battlefield 3 is my favorite though. I prefer Rush and Conquest gametypes, but it does have a pretty good team deathmatch mode.

COD is easiest... Battlefield you gotta be skilled, Halo you gotta be a little skilled, CoD takes no skill... though be prepared to throw your controller at the TV when you get spawn killed, quickscoped, or killed by a camper.

Believe it or not, I forgot about Halo. Even though I loved the original, played it loads on the original xbox. So its CoD or Halo.... well that atleast narrows it down a bit. Luckely, I got Halo reach, so I can try that one. Else I'll buy CoD:MW3 this or next week. Thanks for the help guys.

Cods no better sure it might be fast paced but bet your boots you end up getting camped out by some little 13 year old fiend who thinks he's amazing and dont even get me started on the balance issues.

I like CoD4 but after that the games become too big in terms of scope that its become a literal nightmare to have any decent balance in it :(
