Which FPS(or shooter I guess) should I get?

You wouldn't be disappointed with any of those games really. Fallout 3 has no multiplayer though but is still a phenomenal game.sLiPz1984

The Orange Box is $20 new, and has 5 extremely well made First Person games.

The only one with MP though is Team Fortress 2, which is still really nice, but nowhere near as good as the PC version.

I cannot stress how great a deal it is for $20 though.

I doubt that you'd like Falout 3 anyway. It is NOT an FPS. It is an RPGthat just so happens to havea first-person perspective and guns.

I'd say Halo 3. Different enough from WaW and the MP is awesome.

Yeah. I love tosee people say things like "Fallout 3 is the worst FPS ever". I bust out laughing every time.

I'd say Halo 3. It's fun and easily accessible. I would probably say Gears 2, but ever since the second update and the "balancing" I've become incredibly disappointed with the multiplayer.

I would recommend Halo 3, that game's a blast. Good series overall IMO.

I recommend The Orange Box. The Half-Life games are all tons of fun with an engaging story and likeable characters, Portal is one of the best puzzle games that I've ever played,and TF2 is an outstanding multyplayer game.

Fallout 3. But it's not all shooter. It's 3/4 RPG. Still amazing though.RobboElRobbo

I really like Rainbow six Vegas 1 and 2, I have a full review of the second part, also Halo 3 has awesome multiplayer, I dont like Gear of War but thats just me doubalfa

Vegas 2 is excellent and has nice graphics. Other good shooters are Halo 3, Turok, Battlefield: Bad Company, Brothers In Arms: Hell's Highway.

Gears of war 2 man, this is one of those games that you pick up, and when your finished, you can't help but say " Wow..", it has outstanding graphics, nice story, and great online play now that it has been patched :D

If you are not worried about multiplayer, then get Fallout 3. It is an amazing game that is really fun to play, is a good value for your money, looks great, and will last you a really long time. I suggest it over all of the games on your list.

If you don't want this game because it doesn't have multiplayer, then I suggest either Gears of War 2 or Rainbow Six Vegas 2. Both are fun games and have great multiplayer. However, neither of them are as amazing and enjoyable as Fallout 3.

Halo 3 has a very good multiplayer part and is a very popular game, my first choice.Gears of War is a very good game but the multiplayer part was some frustrating parts. gamespot has some good reviews on the games you are considering so go there and check it out.

The recommendation thread wasn't able to help me find the I game I want to get. At the moment of this post, I have Call of Duty 5, and thats all. I'd prefer to get a FPS game so here are my choices, Left 4 Dead, Fallout 3, Halo 3, Bad Company, Resident Evil 5, Gear of Wars 2, and... any other hit FPS with awesome multiplayer Xbox Live game. Which one? Explain your answer please, =PPalpablecheese

thats a hard one. IMO you should get halo 3, gears of war 2 or left 4 dead.:)
