Which game: Assassins Creed or Mass Effect?

So. If I were to choose one, what would it be?

and please before I open the flood gates, I don't want anything but constructive comments. God! please don't send me comments like ASSASSINS CREED RULES!!!!1! I know it does. I know they both do.

based on merit and gameplay which would be a better game to purchase?

Thanks. I know this seems like one of those terrible questions like: If you had to choose, which hand would you rather lose, the left or the right?

But I wanted to see if anyone has a burning point that I may have missed between the two.

I'm currently playing Mass Effect (check my GT if you need proof). I'm enjoying it a lot and it seems as though it will be a fairly substantial (read: lengthy) game to get through. Assassin's on the other hand, seems as though it will be a game that is not all that long to get through the 1st time, but may draw you back in to try it in another way since it is so open-ended. Figure out which of those ideas is more up your alley.

If you enjoyed KOTOR, but felt that the combat may have been a bit lacking then I believe you will love Mass.

I will be getting both and I'm sure enjoying both.

**NOTE: All comments on Assassin's are merely conjecture given that I haven't played it.

Ask yourself this question. Does clicking through lots of dialog boxes put you off? If you answered yes, get Assasin's Creed. If the answer was no, get Mass Effect and buy Assasin's creed used at a later date.Torque1599

Please never buy used games. Spend the $5 to ensure that more games you enjoy get made......

These are both going to begreat games well worth their money. I would say get them both but if you can't, then I would just get Mass Effect and wait on Assassins Creed based on ME having more depth and story(more game).

As to why it has to be one of the other.

I am a college freshman and as such, sadly, I no longer have the time or the disposable income to be a hardcore gamer. But thank you everyone--mostly everyone--for your intelligent input.

Get Mass Effect... I have it pre-ordered and it looks to be game of the year contender.

Assasin Creed looks good, but ive heard of some control issues.

Ill probably end up having both games at somet point but ill be getting mass effect for sure cuz i have it preordered, and ill get assassins creed used in a month or two
