which game did u like better than its sequel??

mine would be max payne imo mp1 was more action packed and brutal than mp2

FEAR and Ultimate Alliance come to mind. With FEAR 2, it felt almost like a completely new game, wasn't scary or shocking and I hated the film grain effect on it. For UA, it just came down to the number of characters and certain other mechanics. Can only carry over characters on a harder difficulty, level 60 cap, fusions really weren't needed at all, much shorter game, etc.

I enjoyed Condemned 1 much more than Bloodshot nothing other than that lately.

gears of war. i did love gears 2, but i've replayed gears 1 a lot more than i did gears 2.... i was slightly disappointed with 2, not sure why.summer_star17x

Fable, hands down. Didn't have the urge to keep playing as I did with the 1st, which I really enjoyed. I'll get around to it, one day. I second Max Payne too. The original was a memorable classic and it's sequel not so much.

umm... Resi 4 isten times the game Resi 5 is. Don't get me wrong, I love the game, but what I really wanted was 10 hours more of Resi 4.

Anything after Combat Evolved was just not up to par, also I liked NBA 2K9 better than NBA 2K10 which isn't really a sequel but you get the point lol.

Thank you, finally someone that agrees with me. Since the original MGS, I haven't seen another action game that actually had a story as complete and engrossing. In my opinion it's the best action game of all time. All the action games today are shooters. MGS is reason it took me awhile get into games like Halo and Gears of War because of their lack of a story. Don't get me wrong both games are great shooters, but just imagine one of them having an engrossing story like MGS. I my opinion that would have of made those games two to three times better than what they are today.

A lot of if is nostalgia as well. Just try and convince a fan of the first three RE's that RE4 is the best game in the franchise. It won't happen. Many gamers have really great memories of the early titles in a franchise, and when they take a significant turn like RE did, they refuse to excpet that is is a turn for the better.

The first Dead or Alive Xtreme primarily because of it's framerate.

Rainbow 6 Vegas was much better than RB6V2. And Halo Combat Evolved is better than anything that followed it. ODST is the first one that reminds me of the original.

The original Halo is still better than Halo 2 or Halo 3. Combat Evolved was just so awesome to play with friends at LAN parties and such. So many good times.

Also prefer Call of Duty 2 over Call of Duty 3 (garbage) and CoD4 (sick of it). I think 2's multiplayer is better than CoD4. Campaign is also better.

Halo, Banjo Kazooie, Grand Theft Auto, Command and Conquer (any), Guitar Hero, ect.

Perfect Dark.

I liked GTA IV more then LOst And Damned

KOTOR but that's obvious.

I have a few. Not necessarily that I didn't like the game, but I just thought the sequel wasn't as good as the first:

• FFX > FFX-2 obviously. I loved it and had a lot of fun playing it (I think I'm one of the few people who actually did like it lol), but it wasn't even close to FFX
• GTA SA > GTA IV. GTA IV got boring really fast for me. Very disappointing. Also, CJ > Niko
• DMC3 > DMC4. I loved DMC4, but I still liked 3 more.
• Prince of Persia Warrior Within > The Two Thrones. Again, I loved TTT, but WW was my favorite in the series.
• Xenosaga Ep. I > Ep. II. Episode II was good, but I was much better. III was great though so it redeemed II a little bit.
• Zelda Ocarina of Time > Majora's Mask. MM is still one of my favorite games, but it can't hold up to OoT.

There may be others but these are the ones that come to mind.

Halo!

Loved Gears of War both single and MP. Hated Gears of War 2 MP (except Horde) liked its single player.

Naked Snake is who you play as in Snake Eater, and Snake isn't old in MGS4, he has a disease, but you can get face camo to make him look younger....if that helps?

But I do have to say, I enjoyed the first Ratchet and Clank way better than I did all the others.
