Hmm tough choice I'd say Halo 3 if you like multiplayer GTA 4 for single or get bioshock and gears together for a nice combo(they cost the price of a new game combined now)
singler player- bioshock ( i havent played gta4, but i hear from my friends that have it, it gets boring. if like shooters, bioshock is one that you have to get.)

Well IMO, having owned all 4, I would get Halo 3 (multiplayer is loads of fun) and GTAIV. Gears of War is fun as well however it's been so long since i've played it that I just can't remember a whole lot.
Bioshock is awesome for single player... I don't care about online when it comes to my xbox anymore... got sick of paying and rarely having games worth playing online...
I would Say GTA or Bioshock.... Halo 3 is only probably good if you haven't played the first or the second... still all seems the same to me... tho I do own it... just played it for 30 min and never since
Bioshock and GTA are the two solid SP games there and if you don't play online too often then one of those are the obvious picks. If you're obsessed with online gaming, Gears of War and Halo 3. If I had to pick the best one from that list, GTA. It offers a lot more content than Bioshock and the gameplay is unrivaled.
