halo 1 is the best .....halo 3 second best, and halo 2 third best...multiplayer wise halo 3 is better than 2, and halo 1 is kinda different, but equally fun....so i dont know which on has the bes tmultiplayer, if i had to choose, id go with halo 1 for single player and multiplayer....
Halo: Combat Evolved- Amazing, still play it. Was playing it earlier actually.
Halo 2- Ok, but not as good as the first.
Halo 3- Dreadful compared to the first. Its an ok game IMO. I only play with friends anymore, and if I play by myself then I get pissed and I have no fun.
halo 1 singleplayer wins easily imo and surprisingly l find halo 2 multiplayer the best, i dont know why maybe its just because i havnt played halo 3 multiplayer much but i tihnk halo 3 is actually one of the worst, it was great when i got it i was like omg, but after 2 months i realized it was an incredably boring game to me. but thats what i think
Halo 1 is by far the best. no question. well, as far as campaign is concerned. multiplayer, you'd have to do laan. which is awesome if you have the people. the story is way better. the weapons are more usefull (shotgun & pistol in halo 1 wreck lives)
Halo 2 kinda sorta sucked balls IMO i think they got a little cocky and got too far away from what made halo 1 awesome. NEVER PLAY THIS GAME ONLINE! unless you really dont mind non-stop **** and glitching
Halo 3 They really went back to their roots for halo 1 and it shows big time. Halo 3's campaign is tons more fun than Halo 2 and just a little less fun than halo 1 but the sheer beauty of halo 3 over halo 1 kinda evens it out i think.
Well it was better than halo 2 where those damn jackel snipers dwelled. god that was frustrating. i didnt even care to beat the second one on legendary. i beat like half of it then lost interest. Halo 1 and 3 were always good for a play through though. Halo 3's skulls are fun:)
First Halo had the best single player and multiplayer experience in an FPS since Goldeneye in my opinion and is still by far the best of the three, although Halo 3 has the better multiplayer.
Dude halo 2 is the best its the longest and since i love the elites i love to play as the arbiter so halo 2 is awsome considiring its an xbox game the graphics are just, wow? halo 1 and 3 are around 4.8 while halo 2 is a 10.0 for me.

Pistol is not useless and the shotgun actually works from farther away then 3 feet something 2 and 3 fail to realize is that real shotguns can shoot effectively over dozens of yards yet in the future a shotgun blast is only effective at an arm's length.

I definately like Halo: Combat Evolved most by far. I was a huge fan after playing through its single and multiplayer, both were great. I honestly bought Halo 2 and 3, and played each of them for a few days before trading them in for new games.:(
Why does everyone here love one of them and hate one of or all of the rest? All three Halo's were amazing at their time but Halo 3 is definitely the best because it's the newest and has the most features and gameplay elements.
I agree with this. Halo 2 really was crap compared to the others. However 1 & 3 have a problem. In halo 1 the pistol like a mini sniper and can basically overpower most weapons which kills the multiplayer fun factor IMO Not to mention the health system was a bit stupid because you have to get health packs. And halo 3....melee-fest.
Halo 2 will make you sick with the amount of glitches you can get away with.
