I choose ODST because i really didn't feel the op of being a spartan and felt a lack of power made the game seem more difficult.SpideySenze
ODST was the easiest for me. Even easier than Halo 3. I would say the hardest is Halo: CE. You rarely get any decent help, and you don't have any of the fancy abilities or weapons in other Halo games.
Hmm.. I didn't think it would be a problem for you. I'm solo'ing it on Heroic and I was such a wimp in Halo 3. For unknown reasons, I think Halo 3 is harder than Halo Reach, but that's just me. Legendary on Halo Reach on the other hand (solo), is pretty brutal. I did manage to solo one level on Legendary and now I have Carter's Helmet (avatar award). :D
Wow is it weird that IGN put CE as easiest. That is just not true. Still the hardest, well. I'm in a toss-up between Reach and CE. I need to beat Reach on Heroic and Legendary before I can cast my vote. From easiest to hardest for me it goes:
Halo 3
Halo 3: ODST
Halo 2
and then the tie between Reach and CE. The only reason H2 is hard is because the campaign is so screwed up.

Seeing as how I'm solo'ing Heroic pretty smoothly, I still think CE is the most difficult of all the Halo games. Maybe because I just love how Reach controls in every aspect that it feels very comfortable. Reach on legendary is beast though.
Anytime there was Flood around it was a pain in the arse. But really Halo Reach is giving me the most trouble, the Elites are so BAD*** in this one! I'm going to get the achievement though!
I say reach because the elites are dodging and weaving like chris johnson and there are more enemies dropping in all over the place. The jackals are more strategic with there shields as well
Reach on legendary is pretty brutal. Especially the vehicle segments, because the enemies don't miss and your AI teammates suck at both driving and shooting.
I have not played reach yet, but Halo 3's was quite easy for me even on legendary. I played ODST's and it was quite a bit harder. More difficult on heroic than halo 3 on legendary in my opinion.
Halo:CE was my toughest, I finished Halo 2 before i finished Halo CE back when I was younger, although Recently I did find Halo 2's Multiplayer to be Harder than Halo 3's.
