Which is better Halo 3 or Call Of Duty 4?

I just wanted to know which one is better I have halo 3 but I'm thinking of getting cod is it worth it.

also is COD BETTER ON 360 OR PC?

CoD4. Halo is just a mess. Way too unrealistic. Bullets didn't do much damage, but melee moves could kill you instantly. o_O CoD4 is much better on every level. It's more realistic; bullets and explosives actually do damage and there is more variety. Could Halo let you call in airstrikes and support helicopters? NO! Put on a gillie suit to blend in with the surrounding foliage? NO! Good graphics? Hell no! How about 16 maps that were fun to play on? Fun, somewhat; 16 of them there were not! To top it off, could H3 let you equip weapons and items to accomidate to your play style? I think not! Therefore, Call of Duty 4 doesn't shoot Halo down, it's puts a nuclear bomb straight up Master Chief's as....trioid belt. ( I own a 360 and all Halo's for the record )

First of all in halo3 you play as a supersoldier who can go head to head with elites and brutes, ofcourse chief isn't gonna die easily.

cod 4 is way to short to deserve game of the year, and afterall its all scripted and on rails.

halo's a better overall story based shooter (but not GOTY worthy) and abit longer, multi-play is also better in halo 3 by a long stretch.

halo 3 has the shortest single player i ever played in my life besides king kong man...it didnt tell much of the story...anyone could've guessed the rest of that story that happened in the game...they just milking money out of halo and going to tell more little by little...anyways these threads are getting tiring...call of duty 4 is possibly the better experience but if u like shooting people in the head 50 times than beating them down for a kill or driving vehicles...halo 3 is for you...you like one head shot deaths and realistic war feel...call of duty 4 is for you...

Why? I dont see why people are saying these kind of things sometimes. halo 3 was probably the best halo ive played.

Killing sludge and alien bugs is not enterntaining. MP in Halo 3 promotes too much camping and the stupid armor and running to get guns is tiring.

I think halo 3 has a more fun MP

CoD 4 had the better single player game, better graphics, rewards you when you rank up online, and hasgreat multiplayer options. Halo 3 had a decent single player, co-op was fun but not balanced, making videos and taking pictures is fun but could be improved on, I hatemost of Bugie's matchmaking games, and although it has forge the maps are so bad it is pointless to me.

no point slating a game for being unrealistic not like its ment to be realistic, as for all the bullets well everyone is armoured up to the hilt, its a spacey shooter and they always been forgiving when u take shots so to nail the game for it is not really fair coz its not going out to be realistic like that. halo has the best matchmaking for matching skill never played a game so even, had plenty of games were all 5 lone wolfs are within a point or two of winning. but cod 4 is the better game like much more fun, the game feels like it has more soul.

but ya cant really compare games in exactly the same ways when they arnt the same type of games 100%, ive played hundreds of games that arnt realistic but they sure are fun. but cod4 is the better game for me and i love both but cod deffos has more fun and bit more soul

Own them both, love them both. But the thing is.. they are on opposite sides of the spectrum for shooters. Halo on one side, is all about unrealistic take 100 bullets before you die deal, where you jump around and hope you hit something. while CoD4 is realistic and relies on tactics and actual aim to take down opponents. Halo 3's story I wanted to love, I truely did as I'm a Halo fanatic! But within the first week I had already beaten it 3 times with my roomie. what i don't understand is why everyone says CoD4 is "too short".. I played it on veteran first (and only so far)play through and it took me approx 8 hours to complete. Which is about the same length as Halo 3 on Legendary, but the story has so much more depth!

Multiplayer-wise, CoD4 destroys Halo 3. Not only can you customize your own play style to the enth degree by ways of guns, upgrades, and perks, but the game modes are also fun. But really it all comes down to what kind of game you want.. sci-fi bullets everywhere, or realism. Like I said, opposite sides of the spectrum.. that's why it's near impossible to compare them in my eyes. Both great games and you should probably own them both!

CoD4 is SO much better than Halo 3 it's crazy! I would have to say that the 360 version is better because you get to play over Live andyou get SICK graphics without worrying about your computers power and settings.

Ihave Halo 3 and i loved it and ive played CoD4 and it is awesome they are pritty much the same both great gameplay.

The Halo Trillogy is fantastic and its gonna be a legend in its own right one day...I love playing coop splitscreen campaign. I love the story and I love the look and feel of the game overall...

COD4 is an intense shooter. Its a graphical showcase as well as having great online battles. Its almost perfect. Minus the shooting through walls and no cover system.

They both deserve much attention and love fro what they are....GREAT GAMES!!!
