Well, Call of Duty 4 is really short. I was told 5 hours for the campaign. The majority of people who buy COD4, is for the multiplayer on Xbox live. If you're looking for a solo campaign shooter, COD4 isnt for you, UNLESS you have money to blow. If you're into multiplayer and the whole xbox live thing, get COD4. Rainbow Six Vegas is a tactical shooter. If you may recall GRAW 1&2, you'll know what I mean exactly. Personally, I cannot play tactical shooters. I like to run in and unleash hell on the opposition. Much like Halo 3 and Gears of War. Take your pick, video games really all depends on your taste. If I had to choose, it would be COD4. You'll be getting a better overall game. Graphics that stand out from most if not all Xbox 360 titles and gameplay to match. OH! I forgot completely! BioShock, it's a must-have if you're into FPS's. You wont be disappointed. Anyways off topic, sorry! good luck!

well it really depends on what type of fps you are into. If you are more used to classic fps styles like the typical enter area shoot the hell outta people types, your best bet would be to get COD 4. Though if your into tactical fps like shoot cover shoot, id suggest gettin Vegas, both are ****** awesome games though. In MY OPINION i think that vegas is a more solid shooter because you feel like your really a tactical commando :P

I'd recommend CoD4. Just because I think it's a more solid game altogether. But it still depends on the kind of game and whether you want multiplayer or single player. That said, Rainbow Six has a similiar multiplayer to CoD4.

Both are great online games (COD4 having a slight edge)

The Vegas singleplayer is alot longer then the cod4 singleplayer and you can also do it COOP with friends online (Vegas).

So the pick is up to you! I own both and have enjoyed them both alot.

This is true, but short is by no means bad. COD4 had me hooked the whole way through and i usually dislike FPS's. You owe it to yourself to play COD4.....

Thats tough, both sweet games. But Vegas's campaign is kind of over dramatic. COD 4's campaign is also very dramatic, but incredibly action packed. I've never seen so much action throughout a campaign, it's also incredibly addicting, thats why the campaign is so short! It's actually 12 hours long!

Both are great games and have great campaigns though i must say COD4 has the more memorable one. However Vegas probably has a dead or dying online community so i highly suggest COD4. Also Vegas 2 will be out in less than 2 months.

R6V is not like graw...

Vegas has a trigger cover system... pull the left trigger makes you take cover on any object that cover can be had from... GRAW had a button cover system... where you press a button and take cover then press again to leave cover... Vegas is much better than GRAW...

I do recommend COD4 though... that is not a 5 hour game... it is if you rush through on easy... but if you take it slow it is around 7 hours and if you play on veteran you are looking at 10+... and COD4 online is amazing...

I recommend COD4...

First, both are awesome games. COD4 multiplayer is sweet, and even though there are no achievements tacked on to multiplayer, it has so many different game modes that it keeps you addicted for a long time. Rainbow Six is nice and maybe just a touch more realistic, and you get to modify your character in the game, plus single-player is longer. If you go Rainbow Six route, maybe wait and get Rainbow Six Vegas 2 when it comes out. You really can't make a bad choice either way. It would be nice if all things in life were like that...
