I have a 360 that is banned from Live. What is the actual part that is banned, ie, what do I need to replace for it to have a 'clean record'?
Thanks

If you were banned from Live, then there was a reason. Live with your mistake.

Anyone care to actually contribute by supplying an answer to the question being asked?
Not really. You were banned for a reason and I don't know which "part" of the 360 gets banned.

ha ha. yeah man I mean you got banned for a reason just live with it.
It depends on why you were banned. For bad behavior it may just be you gamertag or console. If it was for hardware modding your IP address is banned, and you're pretty much screwed.
I suppose I can actually give you some legit info since all the other posters here are dimwhits just trying to up their post count.
The motherboard serial gets banned, you need a new mobo. but encoded on the mobo is the drive serial so if you're buying a new mobo for your 360 (can't be banned ofc) you also need the drive serial or it will not work.

Thank you. I assume to get this done, you would basically have to 'borrow' them from another 360, rendering it useless?
or buy the parts on ebay.
there's no point in fixing it, if you got banned for moding keep it or sell it, you can still play games offline.
buy a new one if you wanna play online, if you're burning games you're probably saved the cost of a new console in games by now
If you like commiting fraud. Sure. and I'm sure the buyer on ebay would LOVE to know about it being modded as well as banned. (Neg Feedback) Ebay doesnt allow users to sell modded consoles.
Gamestop often tests xboxes for banned so probably couldn't do that without getting caught
It's something with the system that's banned, IP and GT are fine.

Never did I hint at commiting fraud. Nor did I mention anything about Gamestop.
