Do you think FPS RPG's are better or are 3rd person RPG's better?

It depends on the game really. I kind of like how Bethesda lets you switch from first to third person.
I personally enjoy playing Turn based RPGs fer sum reason (I blame pokemon) 2nd to that is FPS RPGs (thanks to Fallout 3)

Turn-Based RPGs FTW. Pokemon and Final Fantasy got me into gaming, and I've loved any RPG that's turn-based ever since.

Mhm mhm. My thoughts exactly. Only Bethesda never really pulled off the whole third person view in my opinion.
I loved Fallout 3 and mostly played that game in First person but it was also cool to go into third person and see what my character looked like. First person really makes it feel like you're actually playing which is the whole idea of the RPG.
It doesn't really matter to me. I play games like Fallout 3 and Elder Scrolls on 1st person because the animations in 3rd person looks like crap
I prefer Western RPG's to Japanse RPG's, partly because i'm not into turn based combat. impl0sion
There are a fair amount that have real time combat.
Also, I haven't been attracted to a JRPG because of the art style and how cliche'd it is impl0sion

Your loss i guess. Not to mention the variety of artstyles that can be found within the genre.
Cliche... Mainly spewed by people who are unfamiliar with the genre.
Companies like Bioware and Bethesda are keeping their games original and I appreciate that.impl0sion

Third person for me. To be fair, I don't think it's anything to do with that sytle of presentation, it's simply that my favourite RPGs usually are third person i.e. KotOR.
well on one side you have diablo 2 and mass effect; 3rd person RPGs and amazing, then you have fallout 3 and oblivion; FP and amazing. its really too hard to choosechaoscougar1id have to agree with this ^. but no JRPG's period.

I don't mind. I'm a fan of western RPGs such as Oblivion, Morrowind, Fallout 3, Mass Effect etc, and they each have a mix of third and first person.
