Hey,

so I bought a couple of RPGs recently and right now I'm thinking about starting one. I have:

Star Ocean: The Last Hope and Lost Odyssey

I don't think I have time for both of them atm, so which one would you recommend? Right now I'd want the one with deeper storyline and maybe better fight mechanics (but primarily - better storyline). Which one would you recommend?

Hi and thanks for suggestion but I tried Mass Effect and that one wasn't for me. I'm more into JRPGs.

I haven't played Star Ocean but if you enjoy JRPGs I think Lost Odyssey is a safe bet.

Of those two, I would say Lost Odyssey is the better game (in my opinion, at least).

I should have just bought one of them, but they were like 8 euros each. Looks like I'll go with Lost Odyssey then. :)

Lost Odyssey is the better game between the two.

Yeah, Lost Odyssey is definitely the better game and is a great RPG to start out with.

Lost Odyssey is definitely a great game. I loved it. Even my boss is playing it :P

Star Ocean wasn't bad, but I'll have to admit I didn't get very far in it at all. Particularly because everytime i buy it i end up returning it before my 7 days are up because i don't quite want to spend the money on it yet

Both are pretty terrible. Tales of Vesperia and Final Fantasy XIII are much better.

Lost Odyssey of those two. Other JRPG's to get would be Tales of Vesperia, Eternal Sonata (despite a backend fall off, the game itself is quite good), and Last Remnant (if you can stand a crumby story and an ambitious battle system that doesn't always work exactly like you want).

Eternal Sonata is great. The combat is unique. The music, characters and story/theme are great (kinda corny/over-the-top, childish and funny). Others are too generic and boring.
