I want to advise my mom on which type of 360 to get, but are on a budget. Is the elite that good to get, or should I get the premium? I want to play with my friends and play online.

it depends on how you're going to play. if you plan on downloading a bunch of arcade games and videos and Xbox games, I'd go for the 120GB version. I have the 20GB version and I'm starting to run out of space and M$ is charging a ridiculous amount for their 120GB hard drive.

arcade is for like 3-month olds that dont comprehend that there wont be a hard-drive on it and like to play uno...the pro (350 buck one) is the most idealistic for you...adnd elite i'd say only get if you download like 5 movies a day and feel like having a bunch of memory and space...if you just want it for the color just get a can of spraypaint and do that...or just buy a black wireless controller...

i would go with elite because of the gigantic downloads becoming availible on the marketplace...like the high def movie download for 300 is like 5.5 gb or something...and with the recent xbox original downlaods now availible unlike the movies you download to own these and like crimson skies for example is 4.4 gb so you will need the bigger hard drive...also in my opinion the black looks sexy on the xbox

get the premium. i know in canada its bundled wit 2 60 dollar games and the elite has nothin for the same price. doesnt the hardrive cost like $120 any ways, so it dependes on whther you want to play games or download stuff and rip music to your 360

the holiday bundled elite has forza and UA. and the the elite package itself is a relative bargain when you compare its price to the prices of all its parts

The premium is a good system for you on a budget. If you have a Costco store nearby and are a member it is the place to buy it. They give a 3 year warranty with a even exchange right on the spot. Just save your receipt and packaging material. If not, then look in the paper for the best deal and bundle. Good luck.

If he plans on getting a lot of games and downloading stuff he would have to eventually buy a new harddrive and thats like what 100$ for a 20gb 1 or 180$ for a 120gb? Why spend 100$ on 20gbs later when you can spend that extra hunder dollars now and get 100 extra GBs of memory.

go for the pro or premium whatever it is called now, the middle option

if your on a budget or just money concious then you wont feel like spending money on additional content without knowing you truely want it.

20GB will be plenty for you, and what content you want, and as for arcade games, you buy one or two and then delete them, if you want them again DL them again it wont cost you any more money since you bought it already the first time. if you are an avid renter from your local video store, your saved games may pile up but i dont see it as a problem if ya delete the ones getting to be about a year old or will never play again. Achivements on your gamer tag will give ya the memories of once playing the game which is why i kept saved games from rentals in the first place

but like previous posts if you want HD movies, every arcade game under the sun, Xbox Originals, which used cost the same as they would to download, the 120 would facilitate that.

juyst dont get the arcade, that is a 300 dollar dissipointment, i am still having trouble with the though of people actually buying them and not thinking to themselves WTF? when they hook it up.

anyways hope it helps

Mearik is the name and 360 is my game. drop me a line if ya want

just go for the 20gb one. It comes with 2 games that are pritty good and with the money that you save you could buy live and posibly another older game that is still pritty good (possibly GoW or GRAW 2).

Something liek that is ur best bet.

I seconded every thing above.

I just bought a pro. ~ 2 weeks ago. Cost was a factor in the purchase. I highly suggest that you get new, instead of used because there have been Xbox failures. New ones come w/ 3 year warranty. My exception to this rule regards hard drives I only have 20 gigs of memory, if I need more I will buy a used hard drive instead of new.

For every one considering this purchasce, I see two factors: Money & Capabilities. If you are like me and do not think you want to download movies, there is little use for 120g. But if you have the money go for the elite.

Hope this helps!

You really need to get the 360 pro. Nothing else. Or Elite...those are good, too.
