Which will be a better buy: Mercenaries 2 or Fable II?

I'll probably only be able to afford one of these games, so which do you think will be a better buy?

Mercs 2 looks like great fun, but it could get boring after a while, where as Fable II seems like it has loads of depth, but Peter Molyneux is known to over-hype games.

Any thoughts?

Never ask people which will be the better buy... honestly... Like the guy already said YOU have to choose which YOU will like better... a shooter or an RPG.

I can't tell you which one will be a better buy. I don't know how much depth they will have or what the gameplay will feel in my hand. They both look good and while i'm more excited for Mercs 2 i can't tell you that it will be a better buy because i don't know.

If it disliked RPGs then i would go with Mercs 2, but if i disliked shooters i would go with Fable 2... does that mean one of them is a better buy? No...and Yes... but only you can decide.

Well if you have $10-2- to spend try Merc 1 or Fable 1. I have both of them and loved them. Fable 1 was amazing. Peter over hypes games but they still turn out good. I mean Fable is one of my top 5 favorite games. MErcs was also really really fun. THe fact that it has a total upgrade and co-op I would be stuck to. I plan on getting both but anyways.

Fable 2 is for RPG people but I had a few friends who only played Shooters. I told them ot try the first Fable game and they all loved it. It a RPG that even people who don't play RPGs can like. I heard mercs 2 comes out next month. So I would say get Mercs. Just save your money for fable 2.

Both great games, but if mercs 2 comes out next month they are a month away.

Fable 2. I think I would like that game better.

can't decide, i'll get both. there's a lot of time between them anyway. Mercs 2 will probably be more pure fun, but Fable will be higher on the story front and will probably get more play on the single player front.

When oct rolls around the real difficult one for me is going to be fable or fallout. probably will go with fallout though. or just save more money to prepare myself for the financial reeming that is november.
