Well, i would have to say the assassin's creed world, even though when you play, exploring it is the LAST thing you want to do. . .
Exploring was the best thing in that game :P. I loved jumping around rooftops stabbing people and looking at the beautiful cities.Well, i would have to say the assassin's creed world, even though when you play, exploring it is the LAST thing you want to do. . .

Fallout 3 barely wins over Oblivion for me. I just loved finding audio and computer logs that really tell interesting stories, something I'm sure the next Elder Scrolls will have.

It can use Ancient Scrolls... and not so sure about how they'd work the audio in. Maybe Gnomes that are hidden about, and when found, picked up, and then shaked will then repeat what was last said to them!

they kinda did have scrolls and books that did tell a story, but not many people (myself including) were willing to read them all, some of them were quite long and involvedCyrodill in Oblivion, god i loved the scenery in that placechaoscougar1yeh same here...this is 360 only right? because id take morrowind III GoTY in a sec.
I'd go for Mass Effect - you have your own spaceship and the freedom to fly and land on just about any planet you wanted to.Avenger1324But really you're just landing on one planet, because they are all the same. And Usually when you go to other planets you're focused on a mission. Don't get me wrong I love Mass Effect, but not for exploring.

Yeah I was assuming there was more to each planet than just the little zones you got to see on the missions, afterall Earth is a planet in one of the systems, and the moon, or Luna, is bigger than the few square miles it was given in the game. If every building and planet was as generic as in the game it would get boring pretty quickly :)

Hopefully ME2 will fix this. It is already a great game.Fallout 3 wasteland is unbelievable. Best open world I've ever seen. Honorable mentions: Red Faction Guerrilla GTA San Andreas OblivionRobboElRobbo
I just beat RFG, I thought the world was pretty much lifeless. Nothing worth exploring.
