hello folks, well, i've decided to buy a 360 but i've got a couple of questions, why is it better to have larger hdd's in it? I heard that if you play your games from your harddisk rather than discs, it'll have less heating problems, so this leads me to buy elite version or what? I've got pretty scared cuz of those red ring of death errors actually.

Really depends if you want to pay the extra 100 dollars or so for the elite. The heating problems are really, really minor (ps3 owners will tell you otherwise, but don't listen to them). The load screens do go faster and it runs alot quieter, which is why i normally install whatever game im going to be playing alot, than uninstall it later on. I have a release console (less than 20g) and i still always able to have all the dlc i require and have atleast 1 game installed.

RROD is fixable, if it happens send it into Microsoft or if you buy it from a bestbuy geek squad can help sometimes depending on the error. As for which one is better, all depends on your budget buddy. I havnt had heating issues EVER on my 360 and I play it on the weekends and some weekdays for 8 or 10 hours at a time just keep it well ventilated and if you are able to get it underneath the ventilation that comes out through the roof. :)

It depends on what you want out of it. If you just want to play games casually and not go online at all, the Arcade might be good for you. If you want to use the hdmi ports on your HDTV and want extra hard drive space, the Elite might be for you. But most people are perfectly fine with the regular Pro Xbox 360. I believe they have 60gb hard drives now instead of 20gb. I think you can still find the 20gb Pros too, not sure.

if u want to install just about every game u have and want to buy a lot of download content then get an elite. if u just want to pay a game just get a pro/premium, those are 60gig hard drives. i have a 20 gig hard drive i dont' care to much about. the newer 360 are better then the older ones.
