I've been looking at the title of this topic for a good 5 minutes and i still can't figure out what APB is.
Someone want to enlighten me?

Check it out. (seeing as we're on Gamespot, there's the GS link - but it's all over the .Net). There's also a few small videos floating around too.
This game sounds really promising if they can pull it off.
EDIT: To sum it up (from what I gather), it's essentially a MMOG for the Xbox 360 and PC, with a mixture of GTA and Crackdown gameplay. Sounds awesome, eh?
Who knows if it'll be top 5 (that would be very hard to pick even right now without leaving a favorite out), but it ADDED a potentially fantastic game to an already potent 2008 lineup. Seriously, this year is such a mystery still as to some of the releases coming (Alan Wake, Halo Wars, Banjo 3 and Splinter Cell: Conviction are all games we know so little/seen so little about) that we honestly have no idea how this year is going to shape out at the end. This year is going to be nuts.
