Yeah i just dled it and I'm loving it so far, but i have just played the very begining. Never played this Castlevania and i hear it's a really good one.
Its the best arcade game IMO. Just know that you have to be new to Castlevania if you want to enjoy it. Everyone who has played it on the DS or other versions says its the same thing, but for those of us who haven't played Castlevania before, its very good.
I did but need to get on spring break to start playing it. Have to study first. But i did play the trial and it sucked. Only because it is so short. Man I don't know what the game is like just from that.
I ended up downloading it because I missed it back on the ps1 and so many have talked about it I figured why not,Well after now 10 hours of it and my first Castlevania game I have to say the game is amazingly fun while it is not so much a game to play for fun or to pass the time like worms or paperboy.The game is a solid full game and it feels like it,as well as it is as addictive as any type of item collection and stat building type game is.

I tried the trial version.....meh. is the trial version the fight with dracula? if it is that doesn't do the game justice. Thats just the prequel with the old school game mechanics.
It was the first thing I did when I got home from work yesterday, didn't even take my coat off before I started DL'ing it. Casltevania is hands down my favorite franchise and I must have beat SOTN on PS1 at least 5 times all the way through.
I hadn't played this one before -- just the 3 NES titles, Super Castlevania 4, one of the N64 ones and a couple other stray releases here and there -- so I DLed the trial. It didn't leave a good impression initially as it isn't a particularly good looking game (sortof 16-bit looking, really) and the voice acting is horrific and then there's the issue that you use a sword instead of a whip for a lot of the game. They really play up the whole lame-ass Goth thing too, which irritates the hell out of me. But I like the RPG-ish elements to it... I dunno, the verdict is still out for me. I really don't see what all the appeal is about.
I downloaded it and I have to say its incredible! I missed out on it when I had the PS1 and I really wish I hadn't because I love it. Its a great XBLA game and I recommend that everyone download it.
it is a trade off. the graphics are a little bit better looking. much cleaner and vibrant but the sound is kind of muffled sounding when compared to my ps1 version. all in all though i am enjoying it as much as i did back in the day. something about being able to be a dumpeal who is draculas son makes me smile... of course i named my character D. for my money it, ourpost kai and alien hominid are the best arcade games i have downloaded out ofthe 16 i have bought.

umm.... you dont use a whip until you are a belmont... you use a sword/fist. duel weapons... becuase you are alucard... draculas half vampire son...

haha same here usually after work and the gym i go straight change clothes and shower. but yesterday i walked in from the gym turn on my 360 and downloaded SOTN. I wanted to make sure i would be able to play it as soon as possible. one of the top 3 castlevanias ever released!
