I thought the game was for kids, and that it belonged on the Wii. I dont know how anyone who is a 360 owner can actually like that crap. I mean the TV show is on YTV for Buddha's sake.LivingReceiver
Because, for once, it doesn't contain blood gore and violence it immediatly is a childish game?
Ever heard of the term'for everyone'?
"Oh look I'm a big and toughguy, I only play games where I can shoot of someone's head in full glory!"
I thought the game was for kids, and that it belonged on the Wii. LivingReceiverCare to explain the logic behind that?
[sarcasm] There's no blood so it's a kids game, heaven forbid that microsoft have any family based game on their console.[/sarcasm]
Anyway, I liked itbecause it's well made, and just differant to anything else available.

Yep, he's right. He's the definition of an xbox owner so none of us can like Viva Pinata.
The game was for kids SO it belonged on the Wii... Talk about a narrowminded person.
I really enjoyed the game, it was something different, no shooting, no blood, just some little gore. The visuals were pretty fun , and the upgrades and new foes always kept me interested.
It's not for Super Macho, Tough A$$, Hardcore, Violence Addicted people though.
Aside from there being no violence swearing or blood, the other elements that make it a kids game is that DUUUUH its based on a childrens TV SHOW! Or how about the fact that your a friggin cutesy animal PINATA throughout the friggin game making friends with other pinatas.
The game is obviously for everyone no doubt, but its generally targeted towards kid. From a marketing logic, the creators of the CHILDRENS TV SHOW thought there would be money to make off of it's viewers had they released a video game version of it. Were they wrong? Obviously not, so don't go all crazy just because the truth hurts.

Ok, now it's obvious that you, LivingReceiver, are FULL OF IT because you NEVER PLAYED THE GAME. I've read carefully because I have some misgivings about the game too, but you have not once mentioned any GAMEPLAY aspect of the game, just what you think it is.
As someone that has played the game for a decent amount of time, I, a 33 year old MAN, have found that the game is far, FAR too difficult for 'children'. Sure, it's marketed to them like you stated, but its also FAR deeper than I ever imagined. In fact, I've taken a recent break from it (called Halo 3) because when I thought I was doing good and getting far, I hadn't scraped the surface of it.
Truth is the game is truly for EVERYONE (meaning all ages) because it has a different appeal for kids (characters and colorful look; TV show) and adults (deeeeeep gameplay and challenge). The sad part is that you, most likely still a 'kid' yourself, are so judgmental about something you know so little about that you feel you'd have to come on this board and attack it the way you have. That's just not M for Mature ...
i didn't like it for 3 reasons. too repetitive, seemed frustrating, and the fact that it's a money maker based (or created, i'm not sure) off a kids tv show. who else is sick of cgi animal stories?Illidan311
I might've liked it if I hadnt seen the TV show first. The showis so annoying that I couldnt possibly bring myself to play the game even though I only heard good things about it.

i think the game in the later parts are a little difficult for small children. there are some tougher achievements. ANd the fact is, is that there are ALOT more older people playing this game then little kiddies.
dont make up facts cause you were wrong, and the Truth is hurting you.

Youjustneedtohavesomesenseofhumorinordertoplaythisgame.That'sall.
Game was amazing, The only really bad thing about Viva Pinata is there does not seem there will be a sequal that will improve on the game.
The game only has a bad reputation because all these men who just are not secure enough to play a colorful fun game they think is for girls and guys. It is the same guys who refuse to wear pink even though I know many women who like men wearing pink shows confidance and it is a good light color to wear.
Anways poor little pinata no expasion no sequal. So no pinata sharks or penguins in my near future it seems.

Right there with ya. What a loada crap.
Viva Pinata is a great game and ingenious in a lot of ways.
I go through spurts when it comes to Viva. I'll play it intensly for 3 days, but stop and play Gears, Halo, BioShock, or Orange box for the next 3 months. Then play Viva intensely for 3 days. etc...
It's a great game, but it gets over-shadowed by some of the other ones out there.

I loved it see above for my full comments on it. Though I respect if it is just not the game for you I mean at times I get to mad at it from my pinata's eating each other or similar such things killing my pinata's.
However I hate when people are just judging it because it is a childs game(To stressful to be for a kid I think), or a girls game, did not know girls had there own genre,Time to get to work on a new campaign of Womens suffrage for video games it seems like then.
You probably haven't even played it, it's amazing. Does the quote "Don't judge a book by it's cover" mean anything to you?Grease_Bits
Although true, doesn't change the fact that it's a stupid book. It's just a twist on The Sims. Targeted to children & deserving of the Wii. To each his own.
