I don't know... I thought it looked pretty cool but hopefully vehicles don't rule over the game either... and when they're flyin around that looked like a pretty small world... I haven't played the series since the n64 so it would be nice if they pull through and make something really cool... They have the experience, I'm expecting them to do well... I hope they do tho...

As of the little I have seen... either a hit or miss at this point IMO

Graphics/Visuals wise, the best I've seen in a platformer to date, imo. Could you imagine the finished product? As for the vehicle/vehicle creation aspect of the game, I think it's pretty cool. But I'd much prefer the signature platforming style they had before. No matter what happens, I'll still get this game.

How can you already be disappointed? It's not even out yet? It's not a racing game...if you took a few seconds to read anything about the game you'd learn that it's a platformer with vehicle elements added. Well, maybe you wanted a sequel that was exactly like the last two just with better graphics, but I on the other hand applaud Rare's effort's to innovate a nearly-dead genre. The ability to create a near infinite variety of unique vehicles is really clever on Rare's part. Plus, it actually gives the player incentive to collect the parts to make the vehicles. It's way too early to have any idea whether this game will be good or not, but at least Rare is trying something a little bit different rather than just recycling the same old tired crap we've all seen and played a hundred times. So to answer your question, hell no, I'm not at all disappointed. I think what they are doing is pretty damn cool actually.

My only issue about wat I've seen so far is the choppy framerate, hope that gets fixed, fluid motion is the most important thing in the presentation when it comes to platformers. But other than that, they only showed like a minute of gameplay and I doubt they could fit in all the areas or all the sequences into that, so I am NOT yet worried.

I completly agree with exactly what arachosia and Elann2008 said. It looks like a great game. I just don't understand why people are jumping to conclusions so fast. We finally just got a bit of news on it and just because Rare is including vehicles in the game people think its a racer right away. I have news for you people, ITS NOT. The Hands On article even said some objectives will be on foot so its obviously not a racer. Just wait for more details to come out. I'm sure this is gonna be a great game and I have been looking forward to getting it for awhile.

This is going to be amazing. If you watched the video on the Inside Xbox screen you would see it is not a racing game. Making the vehicles is going to be alot of fun. On top of that the game seemed to have plenty of old school platforming as well. I can not wait for this to be released.

that's pretty messed up that you are already dissappointed by a couple screen shots...that's like looking at a photo of a model's elbow and saying she's a dog....wait for the game to be released before u judge it

i really enjoyed the original banjo kazooie on n64 so much......i'm glad they brought back these characters for a new adventure

dead genre? platforming is not dead theres super paper mario mario galaxy spyro crash etc etc . i dont think theres a dead genre, all genres are growing,

you need to get out and look,, cause actually platforming is the main genre of them all so if it dies they all do because children or some adults cant stand blood and gore etc , gta iv wouldnt be here, if it werent for the starters,

It looks like something I would enjoy helping my son get through. And I love how Rare is putting new flavor into the genre. But as for myself I got what I needed from the bear & bird back on the N64. I'll pass if my son doesn't ask me for it.

Platforming IS a dying genre. How could it not be? The whole purpose is to jump around on platforms, something you can effectively do in EVERY 3rd person game now, with the added bonus of other things. The idea of platforming evolved to things like Prince of Persia and Tomb Raider to become action adventure style games. Mario is the only real old school platformer that is really successful nowadays, and that's because it's MARIO. So I can see why Rare would add other elements, although to be fair I don't get the huge amount of interest in this franchise.

We'll they're trying to do something different and fun by adding vehicles, so might be good. Only concern is Banjo looks kinda blocky. It's BANJO it can't suck.

just because there are vehicles , doesnt mean all you do is race them, its a way for the player to build something unique to get something done, its a way to let the player make his own platforming moves basically, i think it looks great, cant wait to play it.

how ever th online will proubably be a racer, but being able to desighn your own character would be awesome.

MSRB: Warning, Online Experience May Change.

I don't have the exact quote, but that is what you will first see when you load up the game. It looks more focused on online gamming rather than single player. I am disappointed also because I want to play a classic Banjo game without buying a N64. I hope to see some 2.5D platformer. Hope Rare can make one for XBLA.

magicalclick

all xbox games with online say that lol
