Scary?! I was laughing all the time through out the game. The game is so predictable & annoying, creature jumping at you in the darkness and QTE is not scary to me, it's annoying. And flashlight is good for nothing, it t lights up nothing at all, my eyes started to bleed when I finished the game. Come on Monolith, only 8 years old are scared of darkness and jumping monsters!! and the ending was so hilarious I still can't believe they put that in the game, I had some problems fighting the last boss because I couldn't help laughing. Seriously if these thing scares you then you need to go to doctor or something. miladesn2What?

I agree they are pretty scary. I played through the first one last week and then jumped right into number 2 and I have to say the scary hallway glimpses and noises eventually lose their punch and wind up just being like "oh, there's Alma again" moments. That and, with a few notbale exceptions (like Wade elemetary, which had me practically jumping out of my skin) the first game is much, much scarier than the second, repetitive level environments be damned. If you really like scary games and haven't tried it yet, Dead Space is a dead ringer (no pun intended) for the best horror game that came out last year, and maybe even one of the best ever. :)I haven't played the 2nd Fear, but the first one is the scariest game I've ever played, and I know why: Its because you can't even hurt her. Everything in every other horror FPS you can immediately kill right after all the "scare effects." Alma haunts you all the way through the series, which is very freaky. Condemned, while I haven't played the 2nd condemned either, isn't scary at all to me. The drugged up crack heads are very sneaky yes, but they'll go down from a bullet to the head. Alma on the other hand, is way scarier.
If you think the game iss cary your full of **** because its not lmao lmao lmao .. Just dont play the game ffs...IClickYouDie
Well just for the record im not trying to sound like a **** i absolutely love these games, what im trying to get across is these games have a different way of grabbing your attention (crazy little girl slowly walking towards you with flames n such behind her for instance) and i like it, i think its an awesome way to attract a whole new audience into gaming. I know these types of games have been done before but its just the shock value that fear brings to the table that makes it so appealing to me and im sure more people feel the same way. Now before you go and try to say that its not scary at all i think you should play it by your self in a dark ass room and then come back and try to tell me it aint scary cuz chances are you jumped more then twice while you were playng it, hell i did when i was with a bunch of my friends playing it.
if this is really scary to you try the condemed series.Jdon2008
I recently played both of em and i have to say they are pretty much on par with fear in terms of wtf?!?!....and ill agree condemed has a more "realistic" feel to it cuz its a survival horror game while fear is more of a shooter type.....but i know both the fear and condemed sequels are made by the same company soooo all of em kick ass in my book i just like fear a lil better
Haha speaking of which that was EXACTLY HOW i played the first time Let me set up the scenario for ya. i got it when i got my first 360 had NO idea what it was about (back in 06 i think) Put it in at like 1 in the morning Just minding my own business ash starts flying up (i'm thinkin ok wtf?) and... BaM freaky Psycho Ghost B#$*h.... -Screamed threw controller and never played it again.cjcool
haha hell yeah, dude dont feel bad every time that crap happens in that game im like....fuuuck.... and i just sit and wait for the worst, while gripping my controller for dear life lol

I still don't know why everybody says that Dead Space is a scary game, don't get me wrong I'm playing it right now (I'm on chapter 9) and is a great game, but it's not scary at all, you know all the time when the enemies will jump out at you. Except for the one who was immortal, that one scared me a little bit.
Anyway, I remember condemned 2 (not the 1st one) being scary on those strange levels, you all know which ones I mean.
I played F.E.A.R 2 demo, it was alright. Didn't really scare me, but I think I been desensitized from all the years of horror survival and horror movies through out my years. The last time I was scared at a game was the first Silent Hill on playstation. When it would get dark, and your like **** and all you have is that pocket flash light and you hear something moving around and your trying to figure out which direction it will come from. Then you guess wrong and it kind of makes you jump a little. I like games with the creepy factors, I wish I could remember the name of the XBOX horror survival game where all you have is a camera in like this Japanese haunted village and if you don't look through it you can't see the ghost. Whatever it was they need to remake that game for 360.
Edit* Fatal Frame 2 that game was scary. They need to make a 3 for 360 http://www.gamespot.com/xbox/adventure/fatalframe2/index.html?tag=result;title;3
Nothing beats the cradle level in Thief: Deadly Shadows, not even any movies. I found FEAR 2 to be creepier than Dead Space, Doom 3, FEAR 1, and Condemned 2. The first Condemned is creepier though.
Oh, and I always makes sure to play these games in the middle of the night with my surround sound blasting. These games wouldn't have been nearly as creepy had I played them during the day without blasting my surround sound.
