i dont like rpg's in general. but the combat isnt graw, but its still compelling. and the conversation system is the absolute best thing ive seen in a game. i actually care what DeuceBigelow Sheppard will say next
Picked it up at Toys R Us an hour ago, just getting this paper done before Thanksgiving break tommorow and it's Mass Effect 24/7 from there :) From what I hear though from friends who got it early at Kmart (damn them!), the story and universe(s) are engaging, combat is more action oriented than KOTOR, and it's pretty long, so will last you a while.
If you actually do care about / like RPGs, and can get over a few silly little things that people blow way out of proportion (ZOMG I CANT SHOOT THINGS RITE IN THE TRUCK BECAUSE I BLOW AT VIDEO GAMES!!!1111one), then I'd definitely say pick it up. Lots of fun and lots of replayability.
if you buy it or rent it, just to let you know it takes about 3 hours to kick in to full gear if you know what to say to the consul.
then you tack command of your own ship and then you can go to all sorts of different solar systems with different star clusters, asteroid belts and allot of planets.
its like a f-ing move. from the moment the game starts you feel like your in a big siefi adventure where you make your own destiny.
yeah, if your not a fan of Rpg's (which I think is weird) then I wouldnt see how you would want this one because the "action" isnt like a normal action game.
