I feel the same way. Like I was a huge fan of Test Drive Unlimited and Need For Speed Series. I really liked this game. I want to get this game when I get my new XBox. Hopefully I can find an elite in stores.

I have to say I agree. I game the first Forza a try also and I found it extremely boring. It is just too realistic for me. I love PGR and other realistic racers, but I don't really enjoy simulations.
I've only played PGR3 before this, and though I liked it, it never really settled in as one of my favorites. FORZA on the other hand is absolute bliss. One thing that I haven't heard marketed much is the whole RPG feel of the campaign - absolutely genius - totally sucks you in. You pick a region of origin which comes into play as you purchase parts and new cars. As you beat each "challenge" (series of races) you win a new car - that car may or may not be needed for a race you have yet to unlock. You level-up (of course) but so do your cars, making them more valuable and elligble for the latter 'professional' races. Tweaking your car with upgrades and performance tuning becomes it's own addicting mini-game. Then there's the whole paint/decal (livery) editor which has spawned its own micro-community. (and online Auction House, photo gallery, etc....)
Even thought the reviews are favorable, I don't think Forza has truly been appreciated for how deep and rich (and long) the experience is. It seems crazy to compare it to something like Oblivion, but that's how I look at it - I wish I was home playing right now!
i love forza 2. but i hate the Gran Turismo series and most sims. They did forza 2 just right and i love it.jesterboy850
funny cause I hate most sims also, but liked Gran turismo. I picked up PGR3 for $10 and dont really like it nor do I play it much. Rented forza looked and plays good.. but im just not big enough fan to shell out $60, maybe when I can pick it up for $20 or so used i'll buy.
I have been gamng for well over 15 years and Forza 2 was the first racing sim that I ever tried (honest). LOVE IT. After the rental was up I took it back and went straight out to buy it.
Graphics are amazing, depth is unbeleivable, and the best part is that it is very easy to catch on but very hard to master.
Oh, they left the manual out of my box thought. Anybody have a phone numebr I can call and have them send me one???
I enjoyed GT3, but never played any of the other ones, but I had played some other racing sims and really didn't like them, but once I tried the full version of Forza 2 I had to buy it, and absolutely love it.
