I just called my local Gamestop, they said the game will be in stores tomrrow. Yep you read right, tomorrow 10/14.

If your buying it locally it just depends on how close the Gamestop store is to there distribution center. Technically the game comes out tomorrow. Most Gamestops won't get it until 10/15. There are stores that will get it tomorrow though...Lucky bastards... heh.
I will not be getting this game tomorrow but I will be getting Saints Row 2. Dead Space looks awesome though.

can't pick up mine till Wednesday according to my Gamestop. Why does Saints Row 2 get "street date garauntee" and not Dead Space....?
