i agree and im tired of reviewers making this push that split screen is bad do they only play games alone in a basement? split screen rocks and always will unless your tv is small

Totally agree. I'll take my father and Brother in the same room playing a game over playing with strangers on the internet any day. Cant tell you how annoyed that Crackdown was online Co-op only and Halo3 4 player Co-op was also online only

my preference two tvs, two x360s, two surround sound recievers in seperate rooms hooked together for the ultimate 2 player experience this eliminates the small screen problem along with the noice from both players coming from one stereo confusing you.:D

I love splitscreen. Sometimes I won't by a game if they DON'T have splitscreen. I have friends over all the time and we like to do some co-op or deathmatch together instead of taking turns

i like playing splitscreen cuz i can actually have a good time with the person in the room. in online play, sometimes the other guy says nothing or way too much, and you don't even know the person. its kind of like the difference between AIM and a phone, the phone has been around longer and it's much better to communicate with. splitscreen has been around longer, and it's much more fun to play.

P.S. Lag is annoying online.

Yeah, I love splitscreen, me and my partner look for games where they have the splitscreen mode. That said I do love live as well.

Got a gripe with Halo splitscreen co-op though - why not in widescreen?

With as big and clear as TVs are these days, split screen isn't as much as a problem these days.
I never had any problems playing Goldeneye (N64)4 player deathmatch on a 27" CRT back in the day.

Agreed. What's even better - Splitscreen, with a friend, with 10 other people online. ;)

Well splitscreen is classic. 4player Goldeneye FTW. But nowadays, for us older people (well me anyway), splitscreen is pretty useless. I mean I have friends, but we all work fulltime. Different shifts and when we do get together we usually don't play games. If we do it's over XBL/PSN.

Although when Socom comes out, I'm sure I'll pack up my PS3 and head over to a buddies for a good ol' gamefest.
