i think its a great game, and that it was very creative. The only reason i could think of for people not liking it is the fact that there is no proper story. Although, it really shouldn't matter because a game like crackdown is all about gameplay.
I really enjoyed the game, and loved the constant hunt for orbs - I found all 500 agility and all 300 secret orbs :) I think too many people got it just for the Halo 3 beta and never really gave Crackdown much of a chance as a game in itself.
It was a great co-op sandbox game for 7 dollars. Not worth 60 dollars due to a short single player though. Looking forward to the second one with 4 player co-op hope they make it longer.
Great game, lots of fun... in addition the intro music is best I've heard in a game yet... see how Infamous and Prototype have copied the idea and doing pretty, pretttttty good.
