Is an expansion? Please reply if you have actually played the whole game.

It makes the first one obsolete IMO. Its better in every way. Hard to completely change a formula that simplistic.
i though it was gonna be before i played it but now that i own it i have to say no it dosent feel like an expansion. They changed alot of stuff and theres def alot more content than the first. The tweaks they made to the MP really balanced things out and overall the game feels harder which is a good thing. On l4d1 i used to be able to beat advanced by my self no problem but advanced on l4d2 is much harder.
Its not an expansion at all....
An Expansion pack = less content then the original
Left4Dead2 = 3 times more content then the first Left4Dead
- Better death animations
- Better graphics
- More missions
- Better Level Design
- Tons of Melee weapons
- More weapons
- Way more fun
- More gamemodes
Left4Dead2 is the game that Left4Dead1 should have been.
yep. same game with melee weapons and scavenge mode and a few extra zombies, which is okay. (no. adding survival isnt new). The Levels aren't that much different with the exception of the carnival campaign which is great. Especially the hard rain campaign. they got SO lazy to where they say, "oh lets make it rain and then run through the last 2 levels you JUST PLAYED". the levels were boring enough, having to run through another broken down town, now i have to do this when its pouring rain? AHHH
plus i'm not loving the online community. I party chat with my cousin because i dont wanna really have conversations with him and have other ppl hear/ forced to listen and its hard to get a game started, and players quit early about 50 % of the time I play (most of the time its been on the other team) leaving the servers to shut down and me left game less, only to wait a while just to get another game.
DONT GET ME WRONG. i like this game and will not sell it, BUT as much as valve PROMISED that it wouldn't be a copy. but honestly, TO ME, it is a copy with limited add ons.
You know what's a sequel? FORZA 3. upgraded graphics, upgraded single player mode, new online features, 2 new race types, tons of more cars and tracks, rewind, ECT...
Doesn't matter to me since I don't have the first.
Doesn't it have more stuff in it than the original?
I been playing the hell out of Left 4 Dead 2. I can honestly say L4D2 ruined me where it will be really hard for me to go back to L4D.
It uses the same engine and most of the same architecture so it's going to feel the same. I think that's why people are so angry about it - that they can't see a "Halo 1 -> Halo 2" sized difference between the games, which is a legitimate complaint. A lot is recycled from L4D1 so I, too, don't think it's worth $60. I'll pick it up when the price drops.
according to gamespot a score of 9 is :
9.0-9.5: SuperbWe absolutely recommend any game in this range, especially to fans of that particular genre. However, games that score in the 9 range are also typically well suited to new players. Games that earn 9s are naturally uncommon, and earn GameSpot's Editors' Choice Award for their outstanding quality.
I find L4D2 mediocre ascore of 6.5 at most.
There´s no story, no characters you´d care about, no rewards for completing anything, no new gadgets, weapons or skills to gain throughout the game.
this would have been a great game 15 years ago, it just doesn´t live up to today´s standard where even driving games gives you xp and/or credits to improve your ride.
games today will reward you for completing stuff, even if its just new outfits. Anything that makes you feel you´ve achieved something, L4D2 doesn´t.
It's a sad day when "fun" isn't enough motivation to play a game. People are now needing virtual gratification or else they feel like the game isn't worth their time. You'd be right at home in Runescape or World of Warcraft.according to gamespot a score of 9 is :

Please don´t assume to know what i like, i seriously doubt that you´ve ever read a book on psychology.
The problem with L4D2 is that its just not that much fun, the novelty wears off within minutes, there´s no momentum no feeling of moving forward or achieving anything. There´re no set pieces during the entire game. No new or upgraded weapons or skills. Nothing to collect during the game.
games like AC2, cod mw2, dragonage origins and forza3 are all fun and modern games that deserves their score, and they all reward you for the time you spend on them.
If anyone can come up with another AAA title with the same shortcomings as L4D2 please let me know.

I disagree. Game is fun and addicting. I spent so many hours playing this game. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean rest of the world shares the same view as you.
It is hard for me to believe you played this game or know much about the game since there upgraded and new weapons in the game. As fun as MW2 I'm not a fan of unlocking weapons, perks, and killstreaks since it can give advantage to players who are higher levels rather than focusing on skill.
