I'd rather see them come out with a console with a lower failure rate, or decrease lag in heavily played on line games as opposed to providing a useless feature like an internet browser.
it would be good in a way. wii has one that is decent. kind of slow but i think it might have been my friends wii. they should make something new or something on the system.

I have the 360 in the living room and it would be a nice addition without me having to turn on my wii. Then again, if a browser is on the 360, that means most likely its going to be IE :?
like people have said, both the PS3 and Wii's browsers are really slow and it gets annoying. It's better to just get a laptop or computer to look at things. However I would like one a lot, I think it makes a lot of sense, For everyone saying there is no use except youtube videos...maybe to you. I like to check espn.com, yankees,com, and these forums just real quick. To look for whatever news they have up, if nothing I close the browser and thats it. It's real convenient.
Absolutely! i have friends without computers and use there ps3 for Internet browsing. i use it also when i disconnect my wire from my PC to play on-line with my consoles. ( i like hard wire reliability) and when I'm on my 360 i would have to disconnect in order to browse. annoying! and yes the ps3 browser is fast and its like browsing on an iphone! but with flash etc...
It's very unnecessary, but having one would be nice. Probably wouldn't use it that much though. It would, however, eliminate some of the need for me to borrow my mom's laptop all the time.
I don't. Why use a controller to browse the internet when i can just use my keyboard? It's faster and easier. Not to mention that might not be good i mean using it for the internet and gaming? That's just screaming disaster.

But I would love to have it so I can watch YouTube videos with friends. I wonder what it would do for those that have Netflix since you could probably stream your movies without having to pay for a gold account. Plus just being able to browse the web while laying on my couch would be nice.

No thanks. Those of us with online (like myself) usually have a pc sitting near the xbox in order to gain xbox live from the router. I would just use my laptop or desktop thats in the same room next to the tv.
In response to those that seem to think a PC is an adequate internet browsing platform, don't be ridiculous. It obviously takes too much time & effort to turn off the console, get up off your seat, turn on the computer and start up the interwebs on there. Just not enough time in the life of a gamer for such things... Plus, you actually have to divert your attention from your TV to the computer on occasion. And that cuts into gaming time. :roll:
But seriously. No. 360 = gaming console. PC = Interwebz using thing.
if you've got media center on windows, you can install a program for an xbox compatible browser. Though it is kind of pointless (pun) to search the world wide web without a mouse.
There really isnt any reason for all these people to be saying no they dont want it, because its never going to make the system any worse. Its a useful feature, much quicker to boot a console and look on the net, rather than boot a PC. One disadvantage is that you would have to fork out for an MS keyboard if you wanted to use it...
I guess it would be a nice feature for some but I wouldn't use it and it's unnecessary. I'd rather use a computer. Plus the majority of the posts that are difficult to read i.e. one long run on sentence stretching over multiple paragraphs are usually written by those on the PS3 or Wii browser. I find that annoying to read through. If MS were to add it, the number of those posts would increase and it's already bad enough.
Although my xbox seems to get better wifi range than my laptop I would still battle with my laptop for internet browsing. Although I do use my 360 for MSN since I got my little chat pad its been a godsend, although annoying as while in an intense game the MSN needs to be turned off.
