I was at one point, but i'm starting to waver. Usually i wouldn't care about achievements at all, but this is the only one i have left with gears, and the thought of getting so close to completion and then not going that extra mile... it tempts me to try. The only problem is, i've been playing the game online for about three months now, and i'm still only on 3 and a half thousand kills. It's gonna take like a year to get the achievement, and i dont think it's worth it when i could be playing other games and enjoying myself.
It is definately an achievement I want to get. I figure that it will be one of those achievements I get over the course of playing the game. I dont pop in GEoW with the hopes that today is the day that I get the Seriously achievementt. BTW, I am around 3000 kills in all gametypes right now (not including Annex)
Im not really trying, but i figure eventually i will jsut get it. Ive been playing it for 4 or 5 months, every other day or so for a while. Eventually, it will jsut sort of pop up, like my weapon achievements do.
By the by, probably a stupid question, but how do you check how many kills you have? Ive never really looked, but i havnt been keeping track. It would be nice to see how far i am.Â
I only started play gears ranked matches last weekend and only have 97 kills :S. It is more than possible to get 166 kills a day. This one guy I was playing with got 47 kills in a 15 round game, and I'm sure there are people who got that beat. Gridlock seems like it's the fastest way to rack up kills, but I'm a gears newb so I don't know much.

My record is 59 kills in a 19 round game of warzone. That match lasted around 45 minutes though, which is about enough for me. I couldn't play that three or four times to get the 166 kills. That's like half your day.Â
I got the achievement in Early January..I havent played the game much after. People need to stop saying get a life if you have the achievement also, you could be really good at the game and its easy for you. Thats how it was for me.
So since when does getting the 10,000 game achievement mean your good at gears of war? Last time I checked it ment that you played it A LOT, not that you are good.
 I've had 5,000 kills since December and I don't play ranked matches anymore because of the community. It's full of jerks and quitters and it isn't as fun as player matches.
 If annex kills counted towards achievements, I would defidently get the acheivement...but since it doesn't, the only reason I would play ranked matches were if I had a hella ton more motivation then one achievement.
I 'll get it eventually. I don't have as much time as I used to with work + school going on. My stats right now are roughly 4000 kills and 2000 deaths over all gametypes (excluding Annex) I believe.
I just kind of realized that all of us that play ranked matches are basically going for the Seriously achievement. I think better wording would be "Who is playing ranked matches for the Seriously Achievement?"
I would like to get the achievement, but I play Gears on and off, so I'll get it eventually. Also, don't tell someone to get a life just because they're committed. Sure, they play a lot, but they probably like the game a lot too. I honestly hate people in these forums that tell somebody else to get a life. Don't tell people how to live, I'm sure they can decide that on their own.
I'm not trying to get 10000 kills. I've been trying to get a few weapon achievements, but to be honest I think player matches are much more fun than ranked.
I am curently standing at 5700 kills overall(4300 more to go). I recently decided to go for it with full commitment since my friend got it. I cant play Monday-Thursday so that's a big bummer. So i wanna log in about 500+ kills every weekend. I got about 370 yesterday and 440 in the weekend. And that's WITHOUT playing one game saturday. AND i went to the mall with friends so jst goes to show you can have a life lol. And on top of that, i ended the first day of the "Gears Week" number 103 in execution. Not bad.
