Going to midnight releases are always a... "cultural experience" but I honestly may wait until 2:00 AM to go to my local Wal-Mart and pick it up. I live in a college town, but I'm not worried about it selling out, and then I won't have to deal with the hassle of standing in a line. That, or I may wait until tomorrow and go to Gamestop so I can trade in some games.
i'm going. the gamestop i reserved mine at had a halo 3 tournament for the halo reach release; i can only hope they're having a MW2 tournament for the black ops release.
If I didn't order the game off Amazon I probably would have. I thought about driving over there to check it out anyway, but I guess its a bit late for that now since its only half an hour till midnight :P The lines are probably crazy already.
Different developers in this one. I just think it's the community that's gonna ruin it.
two teams... same boss... boss tells them what they can spend their time on it sure isn't fixing bugs... so in the in it don't matter what team you on. mw2 ruined it really by taking 5 months just to fix (some). (game breaking bugs not no little bug that dosn't do nothing) still two months ago when i still played their was still emergany packages bugs so all they solved was to ask people camp more to get to 8 kills
I think i'll stick to wandering around the capital wastelands in my sheriff duster and hat and lucky shades getting one shot head shots with my lincoln repeater.. It never gets old.. and frankly CoD gets old fast.

I went to a midnight release, waited hour and a half for it, drove home played it for about and hour and a half and then tiredness kicked in after being awake for 20 hours. Got 5-6 hours sleep and been playing it all today and have just completed it :)

How's the single player?
I kinda want to butt in here and say it's awesome. The first hour is a bit slow and you might even feel disappointed. The second hour really starts to kick in and you'll be like this the whole time: O.O (in a good way)
