I played the demo and it was well a really raw demo. I get madden every year and ill get it this year even though there are other games that has me more excited this year , you cant go wrong with Madden
Here's my take, and I'll post this multiple times, and whether you choose to "respect my post" or not is all your personal choice. But in my opinion, Madden is like Rome. A great dynasty destined to fall. Of course, madden is a household game, and I love the competition it brings to fans year in and year out. But eventually that will cease. Madden is getting better and better for online play only (in my opinion) so of course die hard madden fans are going to go nuts. But lets step away from the gridiron and look at the hardwood. An interesting study (moreover fact) I saw that EA doesn't want to comment on is NBA LIVE. NBA live was the **** I must say, but due to a sneaky competitor *COUGH* NBA 2K9, NBA LIVE almost fell off the charts. Its interest and honestly, spotlight has dimmed especially since last year. So, my question is..when the exclusive NFL rights are ended, and 2k and/or other actually competitors have a chance to make a game, will Madden die down a bit (of course madden will never totally go away) or will EA create a madden that will be magnificent OUTSIDE of online play, and yearly minor or major updates. MADDEN NEEDS TO WATCH OUT FOR 2K WHEN THE EXCLUSIVE NFL RIGHTS END! LOOK AT WHAT HAPPEN WITH NBA2K9 VS NBA LIVE 09..THE BETTER GAME WILL SELL (MORE)!

But yeah THIS YEAR is going to be real good...Still needs a little more..but i admit the features this year are on a newer level (finally) I wanna play a NFL 2k game though, just for some options.. But yeah I'm getting Madden this year and compare gameplay from last year but from the demo...it looks good
Im looking forward to it with all new updates including the online dynasty looks cool and telling the truth demos are never as good as the real game ever even if u play the same level because they have updates
I am waiting on the reviews first. I'm limited on cash recently, so I don't wanta pay $60 for just an updated roster. If there are new features or some sort of new control scheme then it will be a definate buy, but if it's just a new roster I'll pick up madden 09 and stick with that for awhile

Im still debating on weather I should buy it or just give it a rent. Like some other guy said ill probaly just wait for some reviews but the I will say that the demo was really fun.
I love Madden, buy it every year, and I don't care what people think. I get more milage out of each year's madden than I have out of any Call of Duty or Gears of War.

You're right. It would be a stretch but I doubt impossible. I see it this way...2k is about gameplay..realism...And EA is honestly about features. And in basketball 2k won...they sold more...But yeah I understand where you are coming from, 2k has been out of the way. All Pro 2k8 couldnt touch Madden 08. But All Pro 2k8 was a $20 game and when 2k gets the chance to make a NFL, $60 (the more expensive, usually better) football game I think people will have a great time being allowed to, at least, choose again. I do feel 2k will come back strong..how strong? I don't know, just have to wait and see. Will be interesting again to see EA vs 2k on the football field again
I'm getting it, but only because it has all new mechanics. Otherwise it would be a no for me. I mean I think they should take a year off, at least every other year, from releasing it to make it an incredible game. I realize all they do is polish every year and add a few new features over the last one, and it sells a ton so its a cash cow, but every year I here more and more people saying they won't get Madden. This year is different from me because they re did it from the ground up, but next year won't be the case.

agreed 2k made a funner football game, i remember playing hours on end with 2k5 a great game indeed however this year im looking forward to madden and online coop :)
