I took a break after getting new co-op maps for Graw 2, Devil May Cry 4, Culdcept Saga, Rez HD, Phoenix Wright, Fear Effect, and Baldurs Gate 2.
I will be playing it again though.
I just can't get into Call of Duty 4. I know there's a lot of people right now who think it's the best game ever made. I can't understand why. The campaign was good. I've beat it on hardened. I just find the online multiplayer very boring. The map design is poor and it encourages camping.
COD4 wouldn't even make it into my top 10 of 2007.

..well...yeah its based on semi realistic elements. i.e. no shield or rechargable health? so yeah you gotta camp a bit. and you dont move fast enough
to dodge rockets etc.
i feel you i got a friend who thinks the same way, and there is alot of camping going on some may say its tactical but if you dont move its camping. and the dude with the rrod im going through it too it finnally got to texas today so ill be playing cod4 soon.I just can't get into Call of Duty 4. COD4 does have recharging health. Also why are you talking about dodging rockets? What does that have to do with anything? I can see you're just another COD4 fanboy who can't take the fact that not everyone thinks the same.

your an idiot. i wasnt degrading your opinion. The rocket dodging was in reference to quake. You cant run fast enough to dodge an rocket in this game.as for rechargable health i shouldve been more specific. no health pick ups etc. On hardcore its damn near a one hit kill so you have to watch what you do and move around pretty cautiously.
I'm an idiot because I can't read your mind? I should've known that, for some reason, you decided to compare COD4 to Quake? You've got a really crappy way of making a point. Be more careful with your insults in future. If more of the COD4 community is like you I'm glad I don't play online.

I think your dislike of the multiplayer stems from the fact that you probubly suck at it. And since you suck at it i'll let you in on a little hint. Those people who are camping every game arnt the ones winnings games, its the ones runnin' and gunnin' that win the games.
Its ok having trouble learning the maps. I would prefer just killing people on it to all the goal based points.
HALO 3 HATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sorry I just needed to get that out. people always seem to think you can only like one of those games, they are both good just leave it at that! Oh and to get on topic no I have not.

i think that's his way of baggin on Halo 3. you know fanboys are going to talk down on anything that they're not fans of.
I've only recently accquired a 360 and bought a whole lot of games for it:
Assassin's Creed
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Halo 3
FIFA 08
Burnout Paradise
Saints Row
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Mass Effect
Forza Motorsport 2

I don't suck at it. The first time I played I beat my friend in a 1 on 1 deathmatch and he's a COD4 junkie. It's the only game he plays. I find it's usually whoever shoots first gets the kill. I don't like the fact you can shoot through walls in the multiplayer either. Spraying bullets at a wall hoping to kill the people behind it doesn't involve skill. It's cheap and means if you aren't good enough to kill the player when you first see him you can just spam the wall and hope for the best. I know how to stick it out with a game I suck at. Ninja Gaiden kicked my ass when I first got it but I love that game and I've beat it many times on the hardest difficulty. What's the hardest difficulty you've beat Ninja Gaiden on?[QUOTE="x-2tha-z"]I just can't get into Call of Duty 4. I know there's a lot of people right now who think it's the best game ever made. If COD4's map design is poor then what is Halo3? *ahem construct, isolation, last resort, guardian, snowbound?* Oh wow i just named half the maps in the game. That sucks. At least COD4 gives you more options. Also you move a ton faster in cod4 than you do in Halo3. TRY SPRINTING especially with extreme conditioning. Ive dodged plenty of rockets, grenades and claymores.
And what did bungie do to halo in december? They ruined it even more by adding crappier game modes to the selection. Team duals??? on Valhalla??? WTF?!!?!?! Team Snipers!?!?! I dont want a shoddy pistol for back up not to mention 25 kills to win?? Need i say more?

What's the hardest difficulty you've beat Ninja Gaiden on?First of all, the point that you are able to beat a junkie makes the game fun for everyone. The leveling up system is fair and I like how somebody who doesn't play as much can still be as competitive, unlike in Halo. Also, shooting through the walls helps avoid camping (as well as the kill cam) that you complain about. It goes for a realsitic feel and bullets can go through wood crates and it makes you think whether your cover is worth while. And I also believe that the first to shoot gets the kill makes sense (unlike the halo melee system). I can't tell you how frustrated I get when I have to unload an entire clip into somebody and they can still fire a couple needles at me and I'm gone.
I've played my fair share of Halo online and story and Halo just gets very old and very frustrating. I haven't touched it in about two months.

Why do people keep responding to my comments about COD4 with comparisons to Halo 3? I haven't mentioned Halo 3 once in this topic. I haven't even played Halo 3 online very much. If you go to bungie.net you'll see for yourself.
I was pointing out the things I don't like in COD4. Nothing more. If you don't like Halo 3 that's fine. It's your opinion.
PS If you unload an entire clip into somebody and don't kill him then obviously you suck at Halo 3. Here's a little tip, aim for the head. Where you hit someone is really important. No need to thank me. I'm here to help.
