Why all the hype for halo 3? CoD 4 will ownz0r it.

COD4 will be on PC and PS3 so automatically there will be more hype to an exclusive game like Halo 3.

Meh, the CoD franchise isn't as good as the Halo franchise. Never will be. I thought CoD3 blew, and I more than likely wont be picking up CoD4, we'll see how the demo plays if and when there is one. However I have had a taste of Halo 3, and it is already preordered.Southwind20C

You haven't seen Halo 3's finished graphics. No they dont look "real" they're not supposed to.
Halo 2 owns CoD 3 in amount of games and people playing.
You've seen a fraction of the weapons.
Halo 3 is claiming to have such a big map that playing on it without being in a vehicle will be ridiculous. Plus you've seen a fraction of the maps.

What more can you say? Something that makes sense.

Yeah, so maybe CoD4 will have promise, but to say it will out do Halo 3? Doubtful. Graphics wise, Halo has to keep it's feel while improving where they can. So cool purple colors inside exploding barrels vs. realistic explosions wont be an accurate comparision. All you can really judge by is texturing and depth (How much the grass sways and how the water spalshes.) And if you heard Frankie going on about the water....it's like it'll be the main attraction in Halo 3 lol. Gameplay? Halo 3 is alot faster game, and definately gets me more tense than in CoD3

actually why dont you compare it to cod 2 since the developers who made that are making cod 4 and fatser action i think makes it less tense because ytou respawn super quickly aand it dosent matter really when you die imo cod 4 will be better bnut im getting both

um different developers so it makes sense that they would come out quickly and i think it will get delayed or one or two versions of it will be delayed

Well because I have never played Call of Duty 2, only 3 ( could explain my dislike for the franchise) so my comparision would be inaccurate. However the point still stands you can hardly compare graphics on the same level (Halo beats out CoD in my opinion) And gameplay of CoD3 is no where near even comparable to Halo 1.

Apparently you think Halo 3 is special due to your double negative

technically speaking, I also believe that CoD 4 will be better, but more people will play the online Halo 3 so it will be more fun. but for single player, Halo has not put anything special on the table. It's just sad that Halo 3 will be better because more people play it, not because of it's old gameplay mechanics. theres not even a good cover system. but i'll still buy it and play. not because of the single player, but for the multiplayer. but i'm sure it will get old really quickly because it plays just like any old run and gun shooter. flame me if you want, but that's just my two cents on the subject.Reigun147

i think of it as CoD3. Treyarch's CoD3 is a mistake in the superb line up of CoD games.

and according to Gameinformer's interview with Infinity Ward, when they saw the .exe file for the game at their office, it's file name was CoD3.exe. burn on Treyarch. :P

or it just could of been a simple typo? I hate everyone who bash treyarch. They did a superb job. The visuals look better than CoD 2, the multiplayer is ALOT better (Not to mention bigger) and the story is nothing short of fantastic. The funny thing is, everyone who say CoD 2 is much better than CoD 3, or treyarch messed the franchise up, cant give a reason why. It's quite funny really. i agree i think cod 3 is overall better tahn cod 2 because of multiplayer single player is not as good as cod 2 but multiplayer is better and i think that matters more to me
