Why is the gun, object or other weapons always held in the right hand? I dont know any left handed gamers. is this annoying? I'm surprised you dont get to choose. I think it would bother me as a right handed gamer to see a sword or gun in left hand.

I was tinking the same thing the other day. I think its has to dowith most people being right-handed in the Western world, but I think that's just a rumor...
idk... :P
There are some games that allow you to flip to left handed configurations. Don't ask me to list them, but I know I've seen that before.DJ_Magneto
yes i'm sure there are some. Kane and Lynch 2 lets you switch sides during the game. thats what got me thinking of why so many Devs disregard lefties.
No offense or anything - Because the majority of people are right-handed... Would you like to piss off a bunch of right-handed people over just for a few left-handed? When it pertains to video games, I dont even think left-handed people mind so much. They actually prefer it. My brother is left-handed and plays games like Halo 3, Gears, and he prefers it the way it is. Elann2008
I know its the majority but its not 100%. it shouldn't be hard to allow you to customize it right? i'm sure everyone gets used to it. but I wonder what a new gamer playing FPS for first time feels

Well, my cousin is left handed, and I remember going to his house and playing Counter Strike on his computer. Since he's left handed, he switched the weapon alignment to the left side of the screen (you can do that in the options for that game) and wow, I could not play that game at all. It was pretty well impossible for me to hit anything, and once I switched it back to the right hand of the screen, I was fine with it.Maybe it had something to do with the mouse being on the right side of the keyboard, and visually seeing the weapon on the left side of the screen that screwed me up so much. I'm not sure, but it was weird.
In 1998, a study suggested that approximately 7 to 10 percent of the adult population was left-handed.
so 90% of people are right handed thus right handed FPS.
Yea, good point well I guess the makers of the game are right handed (lol just a guess Good point though
haha where did you get that figure from? cause that is a massive discrepancy in percentages and i dont think its really that big of a deal, how could someone be offended by which hand a gun is held in?Almost 70-90 % of the ppl in the world are right handed, including my self :P
