Dunno. Unless they add something new and exciting, it will be another point to point mission based snoozefest with better graphics. It better have some type of online component letting people fight it out.
You don't know that, it could be totally different, seeing as they didn't reveal anything apart from the guy from the Russian Mafia and the city. Depending on it being Liberty City or New York City.
because Rockstar holds back on footage and releases it in drips and drabs. The frenzy over each little tidbit and screenshot is the approach they want.
If the game actually looks as good as that trailer I will be stoked. The environments and the city looked great, bustling with activity.It has peaked my interest...I loved SA
I thought the trailer was a big yawnfest but people are creaming in their pants over it. They pretty much told us nothing about the game in the trailer.   They pretty much told us nothing about the game in the trailer. I guess it shows the power that GTA has over people.
Unless they really add something revolutionary to the game I'll probably pass on this one.

i havent seen anyone going nuts. they were excited that its actually out and more info will be coming. i dont think anyone said it was awesome. most first trailers arent so i dont know why everyone expected something huge. they gave you very little info to set you up. they do this in movies and games all the time. ITS NO DIFFERENT HERE PEOPLE!!!!

GTA is just an ok game imo. if they toned down the driving from one end of the map to the other in between missions it would be better. but you have to spend 10 minutes driving from one end to the other just to start a new mission. i understand that its an open world game but at least give me the option just just skip ahead to the mission if i dont feel like driving from point A to point B. i understand that in missions that involve you going from one place to another, like tailing someone but when i have to drive from my home in Boston to L.A (for example) to start a new mission its dumb.
Sorry you can't teleport in GTA. The point of GTA isn't just so you can do missions non stop and have a very linear experience, on your drive from Boston to LA you're expected to stop in the little towns and see what's going on and explore. I bet this will be a little similar to Oblivion actually and most people will want something done. Plus no long drives from city to city if it's just liberty city.

i love the games but i was not super excited the graphics looked nice but until i see game play and all that, it was just another cut scene type of trailer which most of those always look good in HD

Everything on that trailer was realtime in game footage not a cut scene.
nothing special when it came to gameplay or a story, nothing special, but the envrionment looked amazing, the cities environment looked lively and realistic.

really? then why on GTA:SA if you played a mission and failed, you go back to the beginning of the mission and you press right on the D-pad and it warps you to the beginning of the mission? all im asking is that you can do this all the time. its a complete option. i dont like driving around aimlessly. you say that were expected to stop along the way. to do what? there isnt anything to do. there are only so many people you can shoot or buildings you can jump off of. i play it for the missions
"Why are people going nuts over the GTA IV Trailer" Same reason people go nuts over every little Halo trailer or MGS trailer. GTA is one of the few, top of the line franchises, that has so much fan support all Rockstar has to do show the tiniest tidbit of the GTA IV footage and the fanboys will go crazy.
yeah i mean i was happy that it was finally shown but it was crazy how some of these people reacted counting it down, and it was funny when the counter stopped there wasn't a video for a second and everybody was like "-.-"

That would be an online game worth playing. Even if it were limited to 32 people per server it would still be great.
