Why Battlefield: Bad Company isn't that good.

stopped reading at random deaths because i know where it is coming from because it turns to them and looking at your user picture and seeing halo 3 icon just stick with halo 3 in call of duty 4 if you think your dying randomly then battlefield isnt your game and no vehicles because people use them and get them destroyed but I always see vehicles but whatever. I doubt you ever even play and Im top in the achievement number 48 check so I play alot and I know.PacBoy23

Think about it, in real life when you die its going to be something like BAM! Dead!. Its an awsome game and i like the fact the game doesnt have a stupid kill cam.torontomapleafs

sorry if it sounded like I was ripping you but this game is my baby and I have had it since monday and willing to protect it all cost because it truly deserves triple A other than the lackluster conclusion

In my opinion that ruins the game, I love Call Of Duty 4, and the killcam is indeed a great addition, but when you're in a huge war and a sniper half a mile away picks you off, the killcam then gives away where he is. Ruining camping (which could be a positive), but also affectively ruining sniping and tactics.

I think you should keep playing the game dude, you'll get better, take cover more often and be a little more tactical. That way you won't be dying out of no where. No offense, but the Halo icon kinda gives away that you like that kind of game, which BC is not. It requires you to think about what you do, Halo is in the ranks of Quake and Doom, where you just kinda run around and shoot everything and anything.

EDIT: Just noticed your post about the Halo icon, so ignore that part. haha

I don't have it yet - but a buddy of mine does. I asked him how was it - he said he almost threw his controller as he was killed 4 x's in a row just as he spawned back into the game.

One thing that I think really sucks about this game is the fact you can't go prone in the game. Some people say it's too hard to kill snipers who are prone - too bad I say - deal with it !!! A few times while playing the demo, I needed to reload but couldn't duck down enough to hide, so my head was exposed - got plugged by the guy across the way on top of a building I was trying to kill. That pissed me off to no end !!!

Gonna have to disagree with you on this one. I love how BFBC pushes the realism to a new level. And I'll admit, when I first played the MP, lack of a kill cam was kind of jarring, but after a few matches (back in the demo) I got around it. IMO, CoD4 and BFBC are nothing alike, and hence you have to switch mindsets while playing. I don't play Halo 3 like I play Gears (they're both Sci-Fi, but they play very differently), and same goes for BFBC. CoD4 is the Halo of the modern day (setting) shooters, I always did just fine running and gunning like Rambo. BFBC, I play more like Gears, cover is important, and so is being sneaky.

theres no doubt random deaths SUCK...the killcam is definitely a great innovation for online shooters

with that said, BF:BC is still much better than COD4 overall...so i can overlook it

Not so much. Especially when it gets exploded in your face! I've learned that in BF:BC, you're not safe anywhere! lol

How about a game that's really real. Like you die and then that's it! No more playing. That would be sweet! x4skill

I understand where you're coming from, I'm just angry that I spent 60 bucks on a game I don't enjoy, that's all.Hickamie14

Relax and play a little be more deliberately than you're used to. Don't team spawn just anywhere on the map; use your ten seconds to see what's happening. I like to sneak around and pick people off, so that give me one of those "random" kills when I get the newly spawned guy. Also, remember that artillery is the devil. Stay out of open areas and spread your fire team out so the artillery gunner doesn't pick up on you so easily.

After a few rounds of more cautious play (or unlocking the health thing) you will feel right at home.
