Yeah they do - but i hope you're not referring to Alone in the Dark - because i keep seeing people say that it is based on the movie which is not the case. Actually that game is based on an earlier version of the game with the same title - it's a "re-do". The movie was based on the original version of the game not the other way around.
Anyway TRUE movie based games - usually are not very good - though I will say I enjoyed King Kong even if it was short and easy. :)
Well Star Wars games usually are pretty good, they aren't always based on the movie but usually around the same concept also Lord of the Rings, I know it is based on the books but the movies and books are very similar and they are also a good bunch of games.
I enjoyed the first two Spiderman games on the xbox, the star wars and lotr games were also fun. There were also the harry potter games that were really good for younger gamers but still entertaining for those who enjoyed the books/movies. I generally dont support the games made from movies that follow the movie...its kind of repetitive but the above mentioned games deviated and usually expand upon the experiances given by the book or movie:)
its all about the $$$ money. that is why companies make games off of movies. some fan boys buy them and think it is better but find out it is a peiace of crap game.
