he said he's playing on easy. the reason the difficulty jumps is because it's supposed to make you better. what fun is it 5 starring the same song over and over? it's more fun (in my opinion) to better your skills, and that's exactly what guitar hero 3 is making me do.

I at least passed every song first time on hard (after playing through medium in GH3 and finishing hard in GH2) until "Before I Forget". I got 11% of the way through, which is funny 'cos on medium it was the first song I hit all the notes in. The last few sets of songs are a lot harder than the rest. Not complaining, though.

totally agree, last set is freaking impossible... after 5 strarring Cult of Personality on Hard (with first try), i hit the last set and fail every single song mostly at the beginning...

There was allot of complaints about GH2 being so easy. So that was one of the things they decided to do with GH# was up the difficulty.

Well gh3 is my first guitar hero I got this Christmas. I have already finished easy mode with 90%+ in most songs, I got the 100% achievement in Cliffs of Dover. I am now in guitar battle with Lou on medium. So far I have not needed to practice any song. I only think this game will get hard in the latter half of hard.

Wait until you have to do it on expert. The best advice I have for someone in your position is to practice the whole song at a slower speed until you can hit more of the notes.

You need more poontang that's the problem. More **** means you are better at the guitar. You should know that. Or it's that you are not using enough drugs while playing. You need to stick some acid in your headband. If those two things don't work, let me know. They tried to make the game as realistic as possible. In order to beat you have to really play the role of a guitar hero. Take some acid, get some poontang and tell me those notes are flying at you. They might really be, but it will slow it down a bit in your mind man.

I concur...Rain of Death and One are killers. They're keeping me from beating the song on hard. I have 5 stars on almost everything else up to the last two sets. If I could jsut get past the fast solo A on One it would only be Rain of Death keeping me from beating it, oh well.

Don't worry it'll come to you, hell I can't 5 star Raining Blood on expert for the life of me and thats the only song I need left to have them all 5 starred, but I keep trying :)

LMAO Everyone click on his profile name and then select his gamertag and compare his achievements for GH3, all he has is a 500 note streak and beat the game on Easy and a couple of other ones. Dude if your gonna go around bragging about your "mad skillz" at least beat the career on hard or expert first....

Because NEversoft didn't know what made the original Guitar Hero fun. That's all.

Playing Rockband made me realize Harmonix really know what they are doing and how to make a rythm game fun!

I feel there is a bigger jump in the last set as well - I'm stuck on hard atm. I failed Rain of Blood of a few times but I beat it eventually with only 3 stars and I believe I only got 3 stars on the other songs in the last set as well (I've 5 starred all the other hard songs but maybe 4 or 5 songs in all the other sets I believe). But then the Lou boss battle is just ridiculous - I got from failing Rain of Blood like twice to playing Lou at least 20 to 25 times with no success.

I will say I like the difficulty better in a way in 3 cuz in GH2 I beat it on expert a lot quicker than I thought I would have.

Hahahahaha So true. Nice call man. A similar thing happened on a forum on bungie.net. Some guy kept going on about how everybody that wears ninja armor is a lame noob and I checked his account and his guy was wearing full ninja armor. It really made my day, so funny.

Anyway. I played GH3 at an EB store once. It was pretty awesome. Harder than GH2. Definatly. Not a bad thing though, I guess I could get better at it.... maybe?

No, I beat it on Hard, Medium, and Easy. I do most of my playing in co-op at my buddy's house. And I'll be honest, There are a couple songs I can't beat on expert, but I'd be willing to bet that I'm better than you at the game.Deominator

really? man that's so awesome.. oh wait, no one here cares.

Skyfall, im sorry to say but your pretty much a moron. if you see a 360. And turn 360 degrees, and walk away.

Well, you would be walking toward it.A 360 degree turn is back to where you were facing.

Did you expect an easy breeze on all tiers? GH2 on easy was, in fact, too easy. I liked that they increased the difficulty of the songs. Raining Blood PWNS!!!!!!!

Why are you guys complaining about the difficulty? While I don't have anything against Guitar Hero, I think spending all of that time trying to beat the harder difficulties is fruitless. The South Park episode on guitar hero said it all; "if they spent all of this time practicing on a real guitar, just imagine how good they would be". Try learning Raining Blood on a real guitar, its actually not too hard, alot of other Slayer songs are much harder to play, though it does take some skill and practice.

I'll be taking guitar lessons this summer, but I will be still playing guitar hero, because it's fun. So if playing on the higher difficulties is fruitless. It's a game and that would go for all sorts of games? I'm not getting defensive toward your comment.

Better yet, what if no one cares? To people who ask me the same question, I say "I don't plan on ever being in an actual band, so what difference is it if I play fake guitar on a video game where I can hear the rest of the music or real guitar on a chair, by myself, in my apartment?" I dunno, maybe if you had a girlfriend who really liked guitar ballads, but then you'd have to learn to sing, and ugh...that's just asking way too much.

medhopeful, on one, just save star power til you get to fast solo a and use it then. and just strum rappidly. beat it second try. Raining blood is just insane. just try and get star power and use it about halfway through the solo. then you should beat it. Im on lou on expert so i no wat ur going through. raining blood had me stuck on expert for like 3 days. dont give up. keep playing.
