I know Halo 3 is almost a two year old game and I would think someone already asked this, but why would Bungie allow such a super hyped game to have some frustrating editor? I suppose it works fine if your just going to place some grenades around a map, though with such a big community they should've know that people would want to build massive forts and such to make the game more new and refreshing. I mean, nearly countless PC games and a handful of console games have done it right. Like for example, I was trying to build a fun Infection map for my friends and I, I suppose at the time I just accepted the editor I had to use. Though after having to stack boxes just so I can make something stand up on it's own or look straight, objects randomly skittering around endlessly, and to top it all off, I have 5 items in my map that I can't delete that have messed up my map entirely.

So ya, just tell me what you guys think. I just would love an answer to this, it doesn't even seem that hard for Bungie to even fix this with an update.

Well it wasn't really initially intended to be used to make buildings and forts. For me, I found it easy to use for the most part. I have built large bases in Foundry, and I can say it takes more patience than anything. It can be frustrating at first, but like anything it just becomes easier to use.

Ya I've seen and played some of those maps they are amazing and fun. Though I don't understand why Bungie didn't/can't make it where we all can make great maps in a much shorter amount of time. Or at least fix the bugs...

Map editors only really function well on PC based systems due to the increased power and mainly the mouse and keyboard based controls. I don't really see anything really wrong with forge as a console map maker.

I have seen some pretty good gametypes and maps come out of forge. But they could have not even added the forge feature....how would that have been?

They should have an option to make a map on bungie.net and link it to your file share for download.
