Why do I own a Xbox 360..

I know Halo 2 is going to require Vista to play, but will Gears of War?

I think it was introduced as a Games for Windows game.. so it will require Vista to play. If that's the case thenbe thankful you don't have to upgrade your computer to play Gears since you already have it on 360.

It was and still is exclusive to Microsoft, you paid to play it a year earlier than the PC users and your purchase of a Microsoft product rather than Sony or Nintendo was justified assuming you liked the games.

Most PC's are not at the level of Technical Prowess that the 360 is at.. If you have one at that level. Then sell me your Xbox!Geek12

Huh? You make no sense. Just buy games for whatever platform you prefer and be done with it.

If you answer no I'll let you in on a secret before you go off and buy a Nintendo or Sony machine. They will from time to time list something as exclusive and it will still show up on a PC.

Yea there probably are but do you get Xbox live with your computer. Nope. And a great graphics is really expensive (along withe verything else needed to match the Xbox graphics) IMO its just easier to pick up a console controler and just.. play.

EDIT: the person above me has a good point. And think of Unreal. A ps3 exclusive my ass. That would piss me off if i had a ps3.

Not really. The 360 uses a modified x800 gpu which is only worth less than $100. Along with a decent cpu, RAM, hardrive etc. it's not very expensive at all to beat a 360 these days.

I used to be a diehard PC only gamer, but the 360 has turned me. I had a top of the line system last year, but now with some games only running on Vista I can't even play them! True if you know how you can build an ultra-PC with just parts for the money you buy a 360, but I don't have the time or patience to do so. First of all, to Geek12 you can get windows live for the pc, which is almost the same thing. Second of all, most future games will be for Windows Vista, thus you would need an expensive Direct X10 Graphics card, the Ultimate version of Windows Vista costs almost 300 dollars, and the graphics card cost over 200 dollars. That's already more than the xbox 360. Plus the xbox 360 has titles that the PC doesn't have such as the Project Gotham Racing Series, Forza Motorsport, the Future Ninja Gaiden Game (now believed to be an xbox 360 exclusive), and backwards compatibility with a huge library of old xbox titles, not to mention the 2k series, and the fact that the xbox 360 will get most every game years earlier. If you want to wait three years after the release of Halo 3 on the xbox 360 fo the PC version, then go right ahead. bloodlust3192

I hate to say it again but... Xbox 360 is a lot cheaper than a top of the line PC with Vista.

Xbox 360 will sometimes share games with the PC but not before its already been out on the 360 for a few months or even a couple years.

BUT this is your opinion and i respect it.

i will say one thing.. Just think about the games that ARE NOT going to PC like the ones people have mentioned.

What do you mean you never get pc exclusives? I just named one of the biggest ones right there. What want more than just Call of Duty? Ok how about Half Life 2, Jedi Knight, Far Cry, Battle Field, Doom etc. Consoles are always stealing pc franchises so I don't know what the hell you're talking about. So you want Crysis? Don't worry I'm sure EA wilk milk one version of it eventually for you "deprived" console gamers like always. :roll:
