In Gears I've been kicked many times for killing with hammer of dawn, especially on Rooftops. Why do people get so pissed off by being killed by it? not used to it actually killing them? IMO your fault for not taking it out + its part of the game
How is it the most unbalanced??? It's very difficult to use. Do you not realize that the weapon can only be used at long range, and you can dodge and run from it easily. Not to mention you can run up to the person using and blow them apart at close range, or even at a distance if you have a sniper.
If you're up close, it's impossible to win with it because the only thing it can do at that point is melee.
There is always the one gun people get pissed off over in most shooters. I mean look at CS, tons of people hated on anyone who used the AWP (or really the AWM). It is in the game and usually one fair terms (as in each team is able to get one like on rooftops) so if they are getting pissed off tell them they can use one too and if they say they are too good to use that weapon them tell them if they were good you wouldn't be killing them with it.
I'll be the first one to admit that there is no such thing as a noob weapon, all weapons have a weekpoint or a disadvantage. BUT the hammer is annoying, sure you coudl try to run away from the blast radius but you either end up running in to opposing team members or you try to run for shelter and still get destroyed in the process. Where do you go when the sky's your enemy?
nah people hates whatever kills them in game personally I don't care whatever kills me its the host advantage whever I get a fight with the host that I hate using shotgun against him specifically
Believe me, those that get p$#%@ about getting killed with the hammer of dawn is cause they're probies, the first time that i played gears online i was :evil: because of the hammer easy killings, now i dont get kill so easily and i see that almost every player has learn to dodge the hammer attack.
BTW the weapon that i hate the most in gears is the shotgun, but now i've learn how to face those shotgun savages.

I've beat down three guys before with it in one game (all one on one fights though). Hard because it takes three hits but melee is the strongest weapon in the game unless you are in a good spot to use the boomshot or longshot. Never underestimate melee.
It seems to be a difficult to use weapon, about 70% of the time it just decides that it doesn't want to go off. Most people don't understand how useful melee is, unlike me, and are very easy to kill when they have it.
