Just the Infinity Ward fanboys in denial that Treyarch made a decent CoD game.Justinge3Yeah , it's sad that they are missing out on an intense + awesome experience...i never though someone could make a really good WW2 game...but i guess they succeeded in doing so.
The IW fanboys don't like Treyarch. Ignore them, they're just fanboys. Wouldn't know a good game if it hit them in the face. I just find it extremely frustrating at times, lol.Zach68486
I like most people are avoiding it because it plays exactly like CoD4....a game I already own. Once some friends pick the game up I'm probably gonna get it though. But I think your over generalizing the Treyarch thing a bit. Since the games release I have not seen anyone bash the game because of Treyarch, everyone is hating on WaW because its WW2 and its CoD4 copy and pasted with different guns. Developer is not the issue at hand here.

The fact that we all studied WW2 all the way through school, and there have already been about 1000 games on the same genre, is enough to make most people instantly hate it. Because of this game's setting, there is NOTHING, absolutely NOTHING they could do to make it anything more than the same mundane crap that other ww2 games have. Now, I'm just waiting for someone to chime in and say, "YEAH BUT IT HAS ZOMBIES," personally I chuckle at this; it just goes to show that the makers knew that nobody would want their game so they through some half-assed gimmick in to justify the 60 dollar price tag. If anything, that's just another reason for me to never play this game. They should've stuck true to modern warfare, that's all anybody cares about these days; that and future/fake warfare.

In a nut shell, most people hate COD:WAW because it's set back in WWII. However, what most people don't realize is that the game, even though it sticks to 4's style (which I think it should, or else people would complain even more), is an entirely diff game. Having more perks, using vehichles, using a flamethrower, a zombie mode, 4 -player coop, etc, makes this game DIFFERENT, yet, it keeps COD4's style throughout the whole game. Treyarch made a phenominal game, and if people are missing out because it's "WWII again," then I'm sorry but that's their fault.
I never played COD4 online, but thought i'd try out world at war. but ended up selling it 2 days after lol
it was just bad the guns didn't feel realistic and the gameplay made it feel like you are just a floating
camera with a gun. which totally detaches you from gameplay as it feels inpersonal. all in all i give it a 6.0
Ok? Then what your saying is that every FPS must feel like "a camera with a gun", right? I don't get where your coming from on this one, friend.I never played COD4 online, but thought i'd try out world at war. but ended up selling it 2 days after lol

Infinity Ward made CoD1. Up untill CoD3 Treyarch was only in charge of making the dumbed down PS2/Xbox versions of the PC and 360 titles. CoD3 was Treyarchs big break and the popular opinion is that the game was a failure. WaW is a high quality game and it makes up for CoD3 but its a game about a war that people would rather soon forget as far as entertainment goes. Noone "wanted" WaW, this is shown by the extreme backlash that stormed the internet when Tryarch first unveiled the game and still persists now. Infinity Ward the creators of Call of Duty took the series from its WWII roots and firmly planted it in modern (albeit fictionalized) day. Treyarch who obviously plays second fiddle to IW took the ballsy move of not following the example.
It doesn't really bother me what other people think about it. All that matters is that I am loving it. Even if it is a COD4 copy, is that really a problem? I love COD4 and I love COD:WaW. As much as its similar to COD4 in multiplayer terms, the single player campaign is great and playing it co-op is even better. Then theres the multiplayer itself, whilst very similar to COD4's offers a much different experience. New maps, new weapons, a few new perks, dogs, and tanks makes it completely different.Â
But hey, if you don't like it, its fine by me, doesn't affect my time spent playing. Have fun to all those enjoying COD:WaW, and to those who are avoiding it, hope you have a good time with any of the other great games out at the moment/Â
