Why do people like Halo?

After playing COD4 I thought Halo was very lacking in every aspect.

The Good:

1: The graphics are really nice.

2: The vehicles are fun to use.

3: 4 player online co-op is awsome.

4: Master Chief is a kick arse character.

The Bad

1: You cannot crouch while moving.

2: Short Story.

3: You cannot aim assault rifles like COD4.

4: You jump waaay too high in the game.

5: The AI are terrible.

6: Online is full of 10 year olds.

7: A lot of glitches.

You can crouch and move, just hold down the stick and if you want you can make it so that you just press on the left stick and he stays down. Also Halo isn't supposed to be realistic, duty 4 is so thats why they have the realistic aiming aspect. As for the jumping really high, Spartans are supposed to be super strong and athletic....so they jump really high. I dont think either game is terrible, think both games have good and bad things about them.

after COD4? so wouldnt that mean you used to actually like halo :?

Halo is still good because the online is setup very well and it's easy to get into.

And I don't know what you're talking about regarding the A.I. You must not have played on Heroic/Legendary, they're very smart.

Those bad reasons you listed is just personal taste and can be easily ignored. Are you going to complain about every game that doesn't have aim down scope or not being able to crouch while moving? Look at the good side about Halo 3 and the things you listed can be easily ignore to people who enjoy the game instead of finding every possible thing that would make the game bad. If you like COD4 because of the way it is then just play COD4 and have fun.

Erm no? It's popular but not alot of people master it. Theres a fair share of good players but a much smaller number of great players.

2. Not any shorter than Call of Duty 4's storyline...

3. It's a different game, therefore there are different weapons. Do you want them to play the exact same way?

4. So? Does that make the gameplay any less fun?

5. No, it's not. In fact, I would say the AI in Halo 3 is some of the best in any FPS I've played.
